  1. Passable shave from the Damaskeene with a vintage Paradise blade. Definitely a shits and giggles situation, not good enough for a BBS head shave. Tabac is marvelous.

  2. I've been using this lovely this week...
    image.jpg

My wife, who has been rating my shaves for years, is not easy! She's giving me a 4.8 for what I would call a New York Times Best Seller BBS....She has given my a couple 4.98's when Dolphins are rioting in the front yard with pickets in a jealous rage...
    image.jpg

Today she said...I don't know what you've been doing the last few days...but your shaves have been, in another category...}8^)) I didn't look out front when she walked to her car...I didn't want to see if the militant protesting Dolphins had heard her or not!!

But this razor is my first SE.....gifted to me, along with a 1912 and a GEM Heavy Flat Top (G-Bar), by @HoosierTrooper /Tom...This is a first generation, pre bumps. on blade base. So this one is very close to 1930. Man, GEM sure knocked one out of the park with this one, and the build quality matches it's whisker whacking prowess. And it still looks like I picked it up out of a Drug Store Display just yesterday. A veritable time machine...

A wonderful 2 pass shave with minimal touch ups ended in my normal near BBS. The one spot on my neck is just not worth chasing most workdays. I finished off the shave with a splash of Fine Fresh Vetiver. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Nice shave with the G8, albeit with two weepers. But that's okay, it ended well. Great scents from the soap and aftershave. Enjoyable shave.

    Have a great day!

  5. Excellent shave, solid A-, just a couple pickups where the Shake Sharp gets closer. I can live with the three dot plate but no question a more aggressive plate would be welcome.

Another wonderful shave this morning. I decided on this combo because we have a bunch of big shots in today touring our facility and I wanted to make a good impression. The shave was great, I smell good and I'm ready for the day. Have a great day folks!

Another wonderful work morning shave. Two passes, XTG & ATG, followed by minimal touch ups ended in a near BBS. I finished the shave with a splash of Fine Fresh Vetiver and I am off to physical therapy shortly. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday

  10. I've been focusing on my injectors for the past two weeks, but I decided to break out the Gem 1912 this morning.

What praises can I sing about this razor that you don't already know? It's pretty close to perfection! Paired up with a Gem Personna stainless steel blade and some Stirling soap, I ended up with a comfortable BBS in two passes! Everyone should have one of these in their den.

  20. Setting 6 on the Schick Adjustable with vintage Twins. AOS Sandalwood Tallow. A bit of buffing required to get to BBS on head crown stubble but impressive lack of irritation.
