My first run with menthol crystals was when I tried @GDCarrington 's Vintage Williams Project. Oy weh! Jeff would've loved it, but for me it was unbearable. The second time I was more judicious and the results are great. Proceed with caution.
Ok, had zero intention of adding any more vintages to the den. Still trying to work through the ones I've got...and then I stopped in a 2nd hand store in a neighbouring town while I waited to pick the kids up from a game. Found this Canadian Old Type (serial #starting Z- 1921 in Canada, I believe) for about $7 US. Couldn't resist. One broken tooth stops this from being in absolutely phenominal shape!
The first part of a gift arrived in today's mail. The scent is very nice and I am looking forward to enjoying both
my stirling soaps;sharp dressed man, executive man with balms, cyril salter french vetiver soap, pre de province soap, and merkur 1904/6 open comb razor arrived on valentines day.sharp dressed man awesome so far.
I made a trade with @banks741938 for this Beaver Woodwright Blackbeard soap. It smells fantastic, nice lime scent on the puck with the bay rum lingering behind. I've heard great things about this brand and I'm excited to try it
Ive done that as well. If you happened to have over iced readily available stock, you can mix the over iced ones with more of thr newer ones, thereby thinning the menthol. I didnt get any iritation from my supercooled concoctions, but the menthol smell overpowered some of my lighter scents. Once i remixed , it was better.
Picked up Pacific Shaving Co Caffeinated cream and ASB on clearance at Rite Aid for $2.99 each. Used them this morning and each were excellent!
I had a few items show up today. I'm not completely sold in the scent of this combo but I'm looking forward to trying it as I've heard nothing but good things about the brand The Supply Provision Custom with 3 packs of blades. I'm very excited to try this, almost wish I didn't shave this morning.
Thank you. I got to try a sample so I'm looking forward to using it tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've shaved with this blade twice and quite like it. I think it's better than astra green. Gives very close shave with comfy smooth feeling paired with the razor itself on its 1st adjustment. I highly recommend the razor blades.
From the box labeling I'm guessing that's One Razor, Military Issue. The commercial versions less utilitarian, more velvet lined.
