I really liked the Myrsol F/Extra, Blue, Balsamica nd Antesol. For Floid I really liked the Blue and Vigoroso.
I agree, although I haven't tried Myrsol Antesol. I'll have to put it on a list somewhere my wife won't see it.

Feb 15 - playing with Stirling lather Well I watched the recommended video and another couple by a guy named Marco (minimalisto on YouTube)on YouTube who was using Stirling. I think I did pretty well using Marco's dry method. It took a while but I ended up filling the 4.5" x 1 7/8" deep bowl to the brim!! Check it out. I hated to waste the Sharp Dressed Man this way but I think I made a pretty good lather.
There you go! Now adjust down the amount of soap during loading, but do the same method. The lather doesn't look too bubbly. Between you finger, it feels slick?
Looks like you got it. Now it is just a matter of tweaking water here and there til you get it exactly how you want it. That's just a developed preference over time thing. You have officially completed the 30 day lather seminar. In 15 days.
Yes it does feel slick. If you look close at the bowl shots I was starting to get a few larger 3mm bubbles sporadically. Even after I rinsed my hands I felt them still feeling slick. I continued to work it in my hand since the bowl became too small.
Thanks Jared. If it wasn't for the encouragement and guidance it wouldn't have been as quick or as easy Thanks In truth I used my smaller pure badger brush and really didn't load that much. I only had what looked like 1/4" of soap on the tips of the brush like it was barely dipped in white paint. I could have used half as much. That could cover me for 5-6 passes.
Now you can spend the rest of the month on shenanigans and tom foolery. And figure out what next month's focus is gonna be.
I feel like this month is quickly passing me by. I'm not getting to post much, but I have been shaving, I promise. I have been keeping it simple. Today's shave: The brush - RazoRock Plissoft Big Bruce The soap - Henri et Victoria Cognac and Cubans The razor - GEM Damaskeene The blade - GEM Personna Aftercare - witch hazel, Stirling Unscented mentholated balm, RazoRock Puros Aftershave The C & C soap is fantastic. The scent is just what it says it is, and the lather is quite good. The Damaskeene remains my go-to SE razor, just edging out the Schick G1, though not by much. I am to the point where I am considering letting go some DE razors, as I rarely choose them over SE or shavettes. Next step is going to be trying a true straight. The Gillette Slim and the Merkur 34c are likely headed to the trade block. I will hold on to my travel Tech and my RazoRock German 37 slant for those times when I want to defer to a DE. I need to thin the herd a bit anyway. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Well, I made it to Chicago tonight, had dinner and checked into my room. Some people would kick back and watch TV. Noooo, I had to pick up my iPad and catch up on what you guys are up to. The thread moves quickly. Thanks for being here. I feel a group hug coming on
Nice post. I agree about the C & C soap. It does smell awesome. I have almost completely quit using DE razors also. In the last five months I know I could count the number of DE shaves on my fingers. I just love injector and AC bladed razors. I have sold almost all of my DE's with only a few that are gonna stay.
