This is a Golden Age for beer lovers/snobs my friends! I'm sipping a Deep Ellum Brewery IPA right now and digging life.
Being from Georgia i tend to stick to craft beers from my state. These are my favorites from each brewery. I tend to like IPAs so I may be partial to them. If you get a chance to try them you won't be disappointed. Terrapin I hate it but was recently bought out by miller I believe 1. Hopsecutioner 2. Golden ale Jeckel brewing 1.Hop dang digity 2. I worked in the beer business recently for about 5 years, and here in Texas there has been an insane explosion of craft beer. Personally I never was big into hoppy bitter beers, and with that bing the per-dominant style I got burned out on it really quick. I personally enjoy sour beers. They are especially refreshing in the hot Texas summer. among my favorites I like: Duchess de Bourgogne Deep Ellum Play Date Real Ale 20th and 21st anniversary Gose Collective Brewing Petite Golden Sour But, I have to say the best beer that I have ever had was on Oktoberfest, but it wasn't just any Oktoberfest. Saint Arnold puts out a special firkin of Pumpkin Spiced Oktoberfest that I can't even put it into words. The sad thing is the first time I had it we took it to a special event, and they didn't use is all so we ended up dumping about three gallons in a flower bed. Then the following year anther event ( I didn't work this one) They didn't tap them, and we ended up throwing 3 firkins away because they were out of date.
