    I don't know much about injectors. What makes the E1 special?

    It was the flat spring used that holds the base of the head tight with a blade in it. All the variations after that feature a rounded spring. :happy088: I had the pleasure of shaving with one and I can tell you they are super smooth - smoother than the E2 and every bit as close.

    I put in the 1st bid on a 15/16 Wade & Butcher For Barbers Use. Turns out it was the only bid. Patiently waiting for it to arrive for hands on inspection.

    Does the E1 appear the same as an E2 from the top side? Wasn't Billy's E1 monogramed as well?

    Yes, it does. Same, "Made in USA" stamp around the horseshoe. There is a top side photo in my op above. :happy088:

    The monogramming thing must have been a promotion since mine is monogrammed as is Billy's as is the sample picture in http://www.safetyrazors.net/schick/schicktech.htm. However, if I remember right, Red Rider's is clean. He really scored big time on his. :happy036:

    Still waiting on my 100 Gillette Platinums. Having to come from Bulgaria, the last few orders from there have been arriving in like two weeks. Should be here any day now.
