Focus on the the angles, but don't try for bbs. I bet it just happens to show up pretty often now. You got it, it's all refinement now!

Thanks. It's a "production" razor from a custom maker.

You need a Tessa that drives itself.

A setting on a razor named after me?!?! :bounce015: And it's because it's potentially bloody and lethal?!?! :bounce017: I consider that better than the Nobel Prize.

You may indeed be that rare individual who matches up to the Rubie. I've met a few others. In fact once, when I suggested that Rubies were suitable only for the trash and my hatred, someone responded fairly forcefully with the idea that I'm an idiot. Now, I'm not going to argue with anyone about that because that is a word I've heard used in connection with my name before. Of course, ex-wives' opinions don't carry much weight anyway.

Sounds like a mayhem challenge to me. Straight razor shaving in a moving vehicle with a spike point. Who's in with me and Neal?

February 19 (Sunday) - Supply Provision Single Edge Sunday (defocus from unfocused Focus)

Supply Provision Single Edge injector (mild plate)
    Supply Provision Personna injector (3)
    Supply Provision synthetic brush
    Supply Provision tallow soap Juniper
Alum and Supply Provision Juniper Post Shave Balm

I decided to take a break from my current new equipment Focus test of the Fatip Grande to indulge in a Single Edge Sunday. And, since I was using my adjustable stainless steel Supply Provision injector, I decided to go Supply Provision all the way.

An all around enjoyable shave. The big synthetic brush whipped up a good lather, the soap provided excellent glide and protection accompanied by a very pleasant herbal scent, and the razor wiped the stubble away quickly and efficiently. The alum was quiet except on a couple already-irritated spots, and the balm intensified the already excellent postshave feel of the tallow soap.

I find this entire setup is nearly foolproof and very relaxing to use since it all works so easily. Supply Provision has tried to set themselves up so they can provide a complete kit to someone starting wetshaving and I think they have succeeded. While they do not, of course, name the maker of their house branded soap and balm, I have wondered for awhile if it is possibly CRSW.

This morning, I decided to make the Mühle Rocca work for the money, and I loaded a Trig blade. To be honest, I even didn't know that I had some left. They are sharp enough, but not smooth at all (YMMV). So I wondered how it would hold up in the Rocca.

To be fair, I got an okay shave. Nothing like the PPC blades, but not as bad as I expected either. My theory is that the relatively heavy head of the Rocca dampens vibrations, and makes the shaves feel smoother.

Still not a repeat experience; there are much better blades for me.
