Day 2 of 30 days of straights Today's shave was much better than yesterday's shave. It is still nowhere near where it need to be, but there was improvement. I still have a lot of roughness all over my face and neck, and I may need to grow a goatee beard if I keep shaving with a straight, but at least I only had 2 small nicks today. The roughness is equivelant to only doing one pass with a DE. Psychologically speaking, there is a lot of self-imposed intimidation when the blade approaches my neck. All in all, I can see an improvement. MDC Face Lathered 30mm High Mountain White set an extra 10mm deep 3 passes, all with the grain 6/8 round toe straight

Brrrrrrrrrr-cold and beautiful as well as BBS after this great shave with the Glacial Spearmint soap. The matching balm and the Snake Bite splash froze me more!

Friday, February 24 Stirling SDM~~Stirling Finest Badger~~'55 A1 Gillette President~~Polsilver SI (4)~~YSL Pour Homme EdT Took a one day respite from the breaking-in of my SOC Boar to give my raffle prize a whirl. Super-soft tips; solid and somewhat surprisingly heavy handle, but a great size; wonderful brush. Had to perform a few hand lathers to rid the knot of some brownish Badger goo. First experience with that! Terrific brush and I am pleased to add it to my gear rotation. Have a great day!
Pal Adjustable razor Personna blade Satin Tip The Purist brush Cade SS Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Colorado Sage Cologne Well, I smell great. That's the positive. The rest is kinda MEH. Another mediocre shave from the Pal and the Cade SS smells great but only works so-so for me. So, I'm kinda ready to go. Now go enjoy your day folks.
While the outside and top inner rim is glazed, the textured inner surface is not. Designed as a tool to grind nuts and spices in a Japanese kitchen, they are available in a range of sizes. Using one for around a year, I've not noticed any undue wear and tear on my brushes. Unlike the classic mug shape I don't bang my handles because of the more open shape. I'll get back to you in twenty years for an update?
Thank you Robert. It's relieving itself of a few hairs per usage. I am hoping that issues stops soon.
