  3. It is beginning to feel a bit like spring. It's early, I know, but the feeling is there.
  4. This happens to me every year. It gets warmer, the sun stays up longer, the crows are seen gathering sticks for a nest, then boom, it's Winter again. :)
  5. I have a BK8 and it is big brush, I have always wonder how huge the BK12 is..... I have been tempted many a time to pull the trigger on this brush even though it's not practical.
  6. Wow, no snow  another great picture Doug. I do enjoy 'insane shaving dude's pictures.
  7. Go for it Keith!
  8. We have a similar phenomenon in Korea, they called 'the cold is jealous of the flowers.'
  9. Thanks very much Keith. Any trouble expected from NK?
  10. My interest is rekindled, if I can find one with a black handle at a reasonable price.... as for your enabling :rolleyes005:
  11. No, the situation is normal. The assassination was an internal issue. Just the normal trash talking from the brothers up north. Think WWF.
  12. Day 4 with my Rooney silver tip:

First no pic today, I have an early meeting that requires I wear a monkey suit so no time for pics.

The wrap up soap for this brush is Razorock Zi' Peppino and today's razor is a Rocnel adjustable with a Super Iridium. This is a big brush and makes lots of lather if loaded it heavy and I used my normal loaded it like it owes you money technique so enough lather for 6 passes. The more I use this razor the more I like it. Four passes and dolphin smooth but a tickle from the alum and tiny weeper.

I do like this brush and put up there with my elites, it is soft but not floppy and zero scratch. Big enough support 4+ plus passes.

    Irritation A Closeness A+
  13. Beautiful photo Doug. Maybe winter won't last much longer for you.

  16. Do any of you guys have experience purchasing from Gifts And Care or TVB Shaving? Prices seem to be quite good and the shipping reasonable enough to warrant a purchase of some things I want to try.

  17. February 27

    Gillette Fatboy
    Feather (3)
    Semogue Owners Club Two-band Finest
    Jabonman Eufros Oriental Breeze soap
Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Fine L'Orange Noir

I've had a series of nice two-pass, near-BBS shaves over the past few days. I've kept the FB on a setting of 5, and I've alternated between Feather and Astra SP blades. Each blade is 3 and out, and in doing so, I never have to deal with a dying blade. The Semogue badger brush continues to perform well with any soap or cream I've thrown at it this month. Soaps over the past week have included Soap Commander and Jabonman. I use alum as part of post-shave routine about 50% of the time, and it was quiet today.

I received a super-fast shipment from Ireland today with a Simpson Chubby 2 in Super and a container of Castle Forbes Lavender shaving cream. I look forward to getting both of these items into the rotation. My shipment of Voskhods from Russia is going on 6 weeks. I'm not sure if I'll receive these blades, but I'm confident the seller will make good on the deal.

It has been fun following everyone's adventures this month. Have a great week!
  18. It is definitely the dumbest brush I own. After it bloomed, the bulb is a full four inches in diameter. I am both excited about it and embarrassed by it at the same time.

  19. Gifts and care are awesome to deal with. On one purchase they bent over backwards to make me happy, and all for a thirty dollar sale. I have ordered from them four or five times and it has always been a thumbs up.

I am waiting on that Epsilon Chubby horse from them right now.
