Recieved this set in the mail this morning from a trade. Absolutely love this scent, one of the best and most unique Sandalwood scents I have come across. Got as close to a BBS shave as possible without causing any irritation. Finished off with matching splash which seems to have great longevity. Hope everyone had a great shave!

Today's shave was with a sweet shaving German Razor. Excellent two pass shave. No touchups needed. Razor- J.A.Henckels Friodur. Twinwerks Solingen Germany Brush- B400 By Tom Soap- Stirling Glastonbury Aftershave- Yardley Gold. MMMMM Goood
Today I went with a lineup of tried and true great performers. Soap: Catie's Bubbles cape cod cranberry. This is just one of the absolute best scents I have ever come across in ANY shaving soap. Phenomenal lather and cushion, a super complex and pleasing smell, and the face feel afterwards is one of the best. Aftershave: Chatillon Lux gratiot league square. If you haven't heard of this brand, then go out and get one of there aftershaves now. Seriously. I mean RIGHT now. They are getting tons of recognition right now...and with good reason. Brush: Wolf Whiskers handle with a game changer knot. This knot is like the softness of a baby kitten with the backbone of a boar. The best of both worlds. Razor: 1959 Gillette Fatboy. Obviously this is one of the best known and most well regarded razors ever. It needs no introduction.

Fatboy February!!!!! February 27 Razor - 1959 Gillette Fatboy (6) Blade - (1) Soap - Route 66 Sweeney Todd Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip Post - Alum I switched out the Rapira Super Stainless for the Ladas Super Stainless. Still in the same family, of course, but the Ladas is a bit better blade in my opinion. This has always been a favorite Super Stainless for me. Chose the Route 66 as I'm going through the three new soaps for me trying to see if one is a stand out over the others. I have an inkling of which I prefer but still working on it. Had to add a bit of water to the brush while lathering to get it to produce like I wanted but I think I shortchanged the load a bit. I may have shook the brush one time too many so most likely operator error. Once I got a little water in it all was well. Nice slick lather and two passes and touch up got me to near-BBS and a successful conclusion to tonight's festivities. One more shave in Fatboy February and I'll stick with this setup and switch to Stirling soap and rotate the brush. I've thoroughly enjoyed this razor since it arrived this month. Fanboyish or not.....this is a fine shaving machine and definitely one of my favorites. Hope your Monday wasn't too tough on you!
