  1. Oh, well my bad. I guess you need an @Norcalnewb shave randomizer.
  2. Perfect as well. A totally non-repeatable setup creates plenty of Madness!!
  3. I think that I'm going to focus on my underused brushes. Since I discovered the new synthetics, I've let my badgers, boars, and horse brushes sit idle for far too long. Within the last month or two I've started to face lather almost exclusively, and should revisit my collection to see how they handle not using the bowl. At least that keeps my foot in the door for cookies and potential shenanigans. I also plan to do a PIF or two as the month plays out, to find a new home for some unloved hardware. Neal didn't include brushes in the monthly poll, so I voted for PIFs and cookies.
  4. Well doggone it. I knew that poll went together too easily. Hey @Bama Samurai how about some admin-fu and add brushes to the poll?
  5. For March I have a Ever-Ready shovelhead, a Schick B1 and C2 and will probably round out the month with my Gillette New Standard. Week long focuses with each while maintaining my soap and brush rotation.

  6. Everybody should revote. It's fixed now.
  7. For March I'll be continuing with my vintage focus. Up this month, a birth year SA and a recent 2nd hand store find- an Old Type Canadian Ball End. My first OC razor. Will use each for 1/2 the month with a controlled rotation of blades and see how it goes. Will change up some of the soaps from this month as well.

  9. First shave of March focus, Thäter 2 band, Route 66 Dovo Master's series

Today is a holiday so I could take my time with the shave. Scooped some Route66 into he bowl and loaded the brush in the tub, one can never have too much lather. Spend allot of time working in water and was rewarded with lots of wet, slick lather. After 2 passes my woman walked in to ask me a question. She has never seen me straight shave before and she said it looks very scary, it gives her goose bumps. Did my final 2 passes and zero blood. Final results was a tickle from the alum and a smooth face.

Check out this burger I had for lunch...

A burger with pulled pork on it is no big deal, but this is the first time I have ever had a giant deep fried mashed potato patty on one. It was like eating fried chicken and mashed potatoes, and a burger, and some bbq all at once.

It took me two hours to sleep it off.
