In no particular order: Gillette Red Tip, Timeless Scalloped cap and bar, Merkur 45 Bakelite, Feather Popular, GEM (any of the single edged models). Some very inexpensive ones are on the list because I just to see if they shave as well as their higher priced counterparts. (Parker TTO, and Weishi should be on the list also.)
Tradere solid bar Above the tie set Hone type 15 King pelican straight Dick Drew straight About does it, but the sad thing is, I'm not sure any of these costly razors could give me better shaves.
There is only 1 that I must have...a D1 Fatboy. Short of that, at the moment, I'm good. I've no desire for a bottom dial. The D1 Fatboy would complete my 1958 adjustable collection. The extra weight over a Toggle has gotta be spectacular. I think all Gillette adjustable are good and get better the heavier they are. I would like to try a Futur, just because, but doubt I'll ever buy one.
My dream razor would be almost exactly the same, but I'd go for an angle that matches the open comb British Aristocrat. As for actual existing razors... 1. Darwin Deluxe 2. Vibraz razor 3. Ben Hur/Apollo Mikron 4. Walbusch B5 adjustable slant 5. Abercrombie & Fitch brass (old type) slant
I'm 'fused. How can the Blackbird make the list if you can't get good results? The expense of the instrument mandate it's inclusion?
Great question! 1. Timeless .95 open comb 2. Schick E1 injector (I've been looking for months and can't find one) 3. Wolfman open comb at .86mm blade gap 4. ATT SE2 That's it! Then I'm done...
I already have some really nice efficient DE razors, but would love to try a few of the more upscale razors. 1) Rockwell Razors 6S – Adjustable Stainless Steel Safety Razor 2) Merkur Futur Adjustable Safety Razor 3) iKon Slant Stainless Steel Double Edge Safety Razor My last 2 are vintage razors that I would love to have: 4) Gillette Tech from my birth year 5) Schick Injector Adjustable
Nice thread. Let's see here..... 1. Barbaros & Rocnel S/S Adjustable 2. Gillette TTO OC Aristocrat/Senator 3. Wade&Butcher pre 1860's 17/16 Rigid Back Wedge half hollow w/Barber's Notch 4. 2011 Muhle R41 5. Weck Surgical Prep razor w/OC head
I'm a modern razor guy. 1. BBS-1 2. Tradere SB 3. Wolfman SB 4. ATT R1 5. Feather AD-D2 6. Honerable mention: Weber PH
1. Ever Ready Streamline 2. Gillette Fatboy 3. Any Gillette Rocket razors 4. Gillette Sheraton 5. Merkur Progress Sent from my LG-V480 using Tapatalk
1) Darwin 2) I was part of the tour but I'd love to own the Bunny 3) Gillette President 4) Kai Captain Excelia Folding 5) An exact replica of a NEW Deluxe made out of Tungsten Carbide. It doesn't exist and I made this up but it would be cool to have a razor that won't scuff plus have heft. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
I reckon I am the odd man, or person, out. All of my razors are vintage Gillette except for one Krona. I have no desire to pursue other DEs. These guys completely fill my razor wants and needs.
1.) Colonial General in brass (Not yet available) 2.) Bunny (Not yet available) 3.) Cobra (Not gonna spend the coin on one) That's about it.
1. Darwin Original 2. Darwin Adjustable 3. Tradere 2nd Gen OC 4. Ikon SBS in Brass 5. Ikon Modern These are my unicorns that I will chase. I already own the Darwin Deluxe, Tradere 1st Gen OC and SB and Ikon SBS in Black Rhodium and several other Ikons. These five will complete my RAD, I think... LOL
