Tuesday's March SE Maddness Dove Men Face Wash L'OCCITANE Cade Shave Soap Jayaruh #144 Gem Damaskeene CVS SE CWR, Asma Alum Block T.N. Dickinson's WH Pinaud Vegetal AS My G-Bar was scheduled for today's shave, but yesterday my new Damaskeene razor came in, so, we shall use the G-Bar next time around. The L'OCCITANE Cade Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #144 finest badger brush. I did two passes the Gem Damaskeene and CVS SE blade, I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Pinaud Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
B1, fresh Personna. Dictatorship of the angle at work here. I did as directed and had a great shave. Near BBS in two but who needs that. Very nice. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

That is it. It is the razor I use the most. The one that I posted as my travel set actually has a metal handle. I love the ones with the plastic handle... or bakelite I do not know how to tell the difference.
COOL!!! Thanks for the heads up....I've seen both and didn't know if this one was Military issue aswell.... They are a beauty...I WANT ONE....It's OFFICIAL.....THE PLASTIC or BAKELITE HANDLE GEM 1912 military issues ARE TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL...WHOEVER HAS ONE , I'm no expert, but the only way I can tell the difference between Plastic and bakelite...is plastic handles have a top to bottom seam that you can easily see. The bakelite is seamless... Also I've heard that the bakelite has a scent, if you rub it hard with your thumb til it gets warm. I don't know about that one. My early Schick E2 is definitely bakelite and I don't smell nothing.... Any of you collectors out there know the best ways of differentiating between bakelite and plastic?
Bird, celluloid, early form of plastic, gives off a scent when heated. Rubbing celluloid could get it warm enough for an odor to be produced. I believe it smells like camphor.
Will hot water do it....or do we need something like a micro-wave Love the smell of "Bakelite" in the morning....
