Incredible lather today from MITA. Bountiful, slick, shiny, and effective. Stirling makes tremendous products. The Black Hawk swiped away the whiskers efficiently and a very nice shave was had. I'm continuing with Margaritas in the Arctic to try and finish it off. It may take a while though as Rod's soaps go a long, long way. I'll keep at it.

Felt like a trip to the islands this morning. Busted out the Trumper "Limes". Lathered on the limey goodness with my 6212. The SA-109 set on "7" mowed down the weekday stubble with alacrity. 2.5 passes some VIBR and Hump Day was off to a great start! Happy Wednesday y'all.

Great shave. I´ve received the sample of the Faena Dorica from a member in our German forum. Nice scent, maybe a bit tooooo weak for me, but very nice. The Mongoose is so so gentle, that it´s a pure joy to shave with him. You could go over the same spot multiple times, if needed. With no irritations, razorburn or anything else. The Shavemac lathered good, even if the lather was not that, what i like to have it. I have to play around with it the next time. This is it for now.

A couple of firsts in this mornings shave. First use of L&L and Tallow and Steel and my first use of a silvertip brush. I really enjoyed the Marshland soap; easy lather, slick, protective and with a great scent. The Tallow and Steel complemented the soap wonderfully and has great post shave feel. I really enjoyed using the brush; the handle has a nice feel, it's a perfect size for face lathering and lots of backbone. Very different from my synthetics but worth getting nailed down. All in all it was a great way to start the day. Have a great day folks!

Another shave with the 200T that I re-knotted with a 24mm TGN finest. I'm really not very happy with this brush and I think I need to set the knot a little deeper. I feel like it splays too much when loading and is a bit on the floppy side. The Shovelhead however is turning out to be an excellent performer. Its very efficient and is really providing very close long lasting shaves. Finished up with a spray of IB Amici. I really love this spicy grapefruit scent, I hope they never stop producing it. SOTD: Vintage Hoshi Tombo 6000 13/16" asymmetrical grind; Martin de Candre 'Fourgére' soap, TGN Synthetic, Fine 'Snake Bite' aftershave tonic. Three smooth passes & no blood: winner! Have a blessed Wednesday, all!
