09 March 2017 Cream: Truefitt & Hill Sandalwood Brush: Omega S10065 synthetic Razor: RazoRock German 37 Slant Blade: Astra SP: (5) After Shave: Pinaud Clubman I noticed (or thought I did) yesterday, that the combination of T&H Sandalwood and Pinaud Clubman after shave rendered a completely different overall scent. Stayed with me most of the day. Not quite Clubman, not quite Sandalwood. Very pleasing. Verified this morning as well. The odd thing is, I shave prior to showering so I must assume that the T&H cream is being absorbed into my skin and staying there even after showering and washing my face with bath soap. I'm likin' it!
Thursday was a repeat of yesterday's excellent shave...... Palmolive stick lathered w/Ever Ready Silvertip '41 Milord paired w/7 o'clock Black blade Witch hazel, Nivea ASB finishing w/a splash of Figaro aftershave 2-passes = great shave!!
9 March 2017 Shave of the Day Pre: A lot of hot water Razor: 1971 Gillette Super Adjustable 109 Blade: Voskhod Brush: Omega 6212 Silvertip Cream: Simpsons Unscented Post: Hot/cold rinse, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer A/S: Fine "American Blend" For today's shave I decided to go unscented. So I got out the Simpsons and put the 6212 to work. In no time I had a nice, thick, slick lather. The Voskhod is mowing down workweek stubble like nobody's business. If past performance is any indicator, it'll still be doing the job tomorrow. 2.5 passes(the half pass is XTG on my neck) and I had a WWS+. I tried out the Fine sample I got the other day. Not a fan of the atomizer, so I unscrewed it a just poured some in my hand. Smelled really nice. It's advertised as "barbershop", but I remember a more Clubman scent from the barbershop of my youth. I'd classify it as "a nice to have". Anyway the day was off to a great start and it was off to work. Have a great day!
