SOTD: Early start to the day began with using this vintage 'Hand-Forged' Dubl Duck 5/8" razor, Route 66 "A Perfect Gent" lanolin shave soap and matching aftershave balm, TGN 24mm synthetic brush. Excellent shave with the help of plenty of Peet's coffee. Have a blessed Sunday, gentlemen!

Considering today was day 7 the Astra blade helped a lot to get me BBS. The Grapefruit Menthol soap from OSP gave me lots of rich lather with a strong menthol effect and a very nice post-shave feeling. The Lucky Tiger balm and the Fougere Santal aftershave splash were both so cooling and soothing!

Pre: VDH Shave Butter with hot towel
    Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89BL
    Blade: Shark Super Chrome
    Brush: Omega 10098
Soap: The Cella "Crema Da Barba"
Post: Hot/Cold water rinse, alum, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer
    After Shave: Speick Splash
First shave of the week, first shave with Cella and my first shave with my DE89BL in a long time.
The Cella lived up to it's advance billing. The 10098 whipped it up into a gorgeous, slick lather. The scent reminded me of the cookies my grandmother used to get from the Italian bakery.
The DE89BL/Shark combo mowed down my 2 day growth in a fantastic BBS 3 pass shave.
Finished up with the Speick Splash from my sampler. Reminded me of English Leather.
    Have a great Sunday.

    Soap: Ginger's Garden British Empire
    Brush: Omega 10086 boar
    Razor: RazoRock German 37 slant
    Blade: Rapira LUX (1)
    After Shave: Ogallala Bay Rum

Kind of a bummer today. Just got the British Empire soap (February's newbie welcome prize) yesterday. Did a test lather last night and I was ready to go this morning. Great slickness, rich, creamy, wonderful scent, easy to lather. I do a two pass, minor touch up shave every day. After I rinsed my face after the first pass and re-applied more soap, I began to feel a burning sensation everwhere there was lather. I soldiered on and rinsed. Still feeling the burn but no redness. Took my shower, washed my face and it began to pass. Applied my after shave and all is fine now. Terrific soap in all respects, but something caused some irritation. To my knowledge, this is the first tallow based soap I've ever used. I'll match ingredients with my other soaps and see if something else jumps out at me. Never had that happen before.

Day 18 of 30 days of straights

I am continuing to use my Henckel 6/8 Round Toe. I decided to hold off on the 7/8 square toe until at least a few days. I am thinking that switching blades every day doesn't allow me to really get my technique down because there are changes every day.

I received a sample packet of St. James pre-shave oil. Frankly, I see little if any difference between it and my DIY pre-shave oil.

Another round with ABC. I face lathered this again today and got a very slick lather. I do like that the almond scent is very strong.

I am getting better at my technique, having only 2 small patches where it is not as smooth as it could be. I still seem to get at least one weeper every day and haven't figured out what is causing it. Overall, I had a DFS.

    St. James Pre-shave Oil
    ABC
30mm High Mountain White set an extra 10mm deep
    3 passes, WTG, XTG, XTG
Penhaglion Bayolea shave cream soothing gel
