  1. Thorsten, ich probierte das Balsam. Es ist sehr beruhigend sowie sanft. Der Geruch ist okay aber nicht super-angenehm!

    Dove Men Face Wash
    Speick Shave Cream
    Jayaruh #145
    Gillette Injector
    Ted Pella Injector
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Pinaud Clubman AS

The Speick Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #145 synthetic brush. I did two passes the Gillette Injector and Ted Pella Injector blade, I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  4. Wednesday's shave: I'm working my way through my various bay rum scented soaps this week. Today was Stirling's turn - great lather - great scent. I like all my bay rums - they are all a bit different but all are good. The rest of the set up consisted of some usual suspects - Captain's Choice bowl, G1 Fatboy with a Personna Lab Blue blade, Omega Professional Boar brush, Dove Post Shave Balm and a healthy splash of Col Conk's Bay Rum after shave. A most excellent shave.

  7. Tonight's shave was with a razor I've not paid much attention to. Now I know why. It has a baby frown on the heel end. It's not pretty, But it gave a fantastic 2 pass shave, with DFS results.

    Razor- Dorko Super Extra
    Brush- Omega Boar
    Soap- Stirling Barbershop
    Aftershave- Florida Water

  12. SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20170315_201416.jpg

    Prep: Gustafsons woodlands (old formula)
    Razor: RazoRock Hawk
Blade: Feather Pro Guard (1st shave)
    Brush: Maggard 26mm synthetic
    Soap: Gustafsons Stubble Management
Post: Peach Thayers WH, Musgo Real Balm

Had my first shave with this type of Razor and it went quite well. Much more mild than I thought it would be, but got a very smooth shave. It was much easier to shave the mustache area than i first thought since the blade is much wider. Decided to use a soap that works well for me, this is the version made by Square One Soap works. Makes a unique lather similar to I Coloniali, no bubbles but slick as could be. Finished off with some Musgo Real balm. Hope everyone had a great shave!
  13. Bay Rum:
    Razor - DaveOcean33 "Atlas"
    Blade - Feather "Hi Stainless"
Shave Brush - 20mm GBS Syntethetic 3rd generation
    Suds - Ogallala Bay Rum
Aftershave - Gabels Bay Rum (in my own custom labeled apothecary bottle)
Post Shave Balm - Retseliney Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum
Deodorant - Sam's Natural "Bay" Scent
Fragrance Bigelow Apothecaries No. 32 EdC

This is the last day I will use Bay Rum until it starts to get cold again in late October or early November. I use this strictly as a cold weather scent and, well, Vegas is warming now and it is time to move to the Spring fragrances next week. Bay Rum has grown to be one of my top-3 favorite winter scents and when I feel like smelling it, no other fragrance can substitute.

  15. Prep: hot shower and conditioner to my face.
    Brush: Semouge 2012 OC SE
    Cream: C.O. Bigelow
    Razor: Lord L6
    Blade: Astra SP
Post: Dickinson's menthol spiked witch hazel.
    Aftershave: La Toja
    Lotion: Gillette aftershave lotion
    Cologne: JPG Le Male

Getting close to the end of my C.O. Bigelow tube. I think I will miss using it. Getting great lather and shaves with it in my Crown King scuttle. But I'm also looking forward to trying something new. Not sure what I'll do on menthol Mondays when its gone. Nice to re visit the Lord L6 razor. It is what I used to learn on and still gives me a nice shave. Feel great after using this combination. La Toja paired well with my Le Male too.
