  1. Skin stretches make sure all razors safer. It sounds like today was good for you. We probably learn more from days like today than from the days we catch the baby.
  2. Yeah, I was getting quite blase switching around between my various razors. Tonight was that little nudging reminder that they all have razor blades in them that are called that because they are cutting blades with incredibly sharp edges. And you really can't be casually careless with any of them. The 1914 EverReady probably needs as much attention paid to it during use as the Fendrihan Scientist did for me, and I picked it up and treated it like a FatBoy set on 1... As they say, "good training".

  6. I had an early meeting that was going to be ugly with our regulators. To preoccupied for a straight razor today. So to wake myself up I went for a noisy shave, I loaded the PAL hollow ground into my Futur and cranked it wide open.

As expected it was noisy shave, first three passes and then down to 4 on the Futur for ATG. Some tingling for the alum but long time dolphin smooth.
  7. :love055: What a fine looking young man.

Adam, I know how hard it is to lose a Mother. I'm praying for peace and comfort for you and your family during this time of loss, and wisdom for the choices that often have to be made during the days that follow.
  9. Wonderful picture, Mark!
  10. Ahhh man.....you have my sincerest condolences....Thoughts and prayers are with you and yours....
  11. Thank you, Neal. It looks like your shave was successful, too. Congrats!
  12. This little guy must have used the 1924, he looks like he never had a whisker....
  13. Yes, I really liked the TGN Silvertip Grade A knot. As a matter of fact I'm considering ordering this knot for my unknown brush.
  14. Thank you for your service

    March 16 SOTD:

    Stirling Synthetic Brush
    Cremo Sandalwood
    Gem Junior
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Clubman Special Reserve

My first use of this new Cremo. I will reserve final judgement until I have a few shaves with it, but the first shave was not promising. The lather dissipated fairly quickly. It was slick, and the scent was pleasant enough. I did manage a DFS with the Gem Junior. I hope everyone has a great day!
  16. Beautiful photo Jim. Maybe the Cremo will work better the next time.
