Wonderful shave with the PAL Injecto-Matic this morning. Three passes for a refreshing dolphin smooth finish. I'm now a Texas resident. Have a great day friends. :)

    Soap: Proraso Green
    Brush: Semogue 620 boar
    Razor: RazoRock German 37 Slant
    Blade: Personna Red (1)
    After Shave: Proraso Green splash

Leisurely Sunday morning shave with BBS results. The RR slant makes really good blades great. I may stick with this soap / AS combo for a few days. The blade feels like it could go for two weeks.

  15. Awesome Picture Robby!

So I will no longer see your back yard with the tropical trees?
Will I see a Ranch with some Texas Longhorn's grazing in the background soon? :)
  16. Enjoy yourself getting settled. I am sure the Texas members are glad to have you, and the rest of us won't hold it against you.
  17. I was going to comment on what a beautiful razor that is, but it wouldn't be fair to ignore that brush.

    Beautiful setup, sir!
  18. Day 24 of 30 days of straights

Definitely a DFS or better shave this morning. I am really picky about applying the label of "BBS", and this shave falls just short. I could have pushed it, but that always seems to bring more blood up than it reduces the whiskers. 2 small weepers today, both of which closed themselves before I finished shaving.

I switched my after the shave treatment. I am using sampsons, which I used when I first started using a DE. This stuff is my favorite. I would have started using it earlier, but I was out and needed to re-order.

Mastro Livi "The Last Classic", 6/8 Half Hollow, Round Point

I am very proud for being the owner of this Mastro Livi razor. Although I am proud of every Mastro Livi razor I own, this one certainly is a very special one. It is the last straight razor made by Mastro Livi using the worldwide famous "new grind" blades of which I made a video showing the making of this masterpiece. This was the very last razor made with such blades and, as such, I wanted very special and exclusive scales. I remember it has been very hard to make that choice and, at the end, I opted for natural buckeye burl with silver nickel inserts and three dots made of three different mother of pearl types. I think it is a great razor to celebrate the end of that amazing story in which Mastro Livi brought back to life a stock of old razor blades and forgotten for a very long time. An important story part of the Italian straight razor making history.
