Today's shave was with an old Stub Tail Wedge, freshly restored, and honed. It gave a wonderful, and silent, 2 pass shave. I didn't expect a great shave, from a blade around 200 years old. Smooth results. Razor- W.Greaves & Sons Stub Tail 1815-1835 Brush- Semogue 1800 Soap- ARKO/Sandalwood Aftershave- Pinaud Special Reserve(I'm Trying to sneak this one past the wife). Very strong scent.
Razor: Ever-Ready SE original instructions Blade: GEM Personna (2) Brush: Shavemac ATG LE The Nisky Silvertip Fan Soap: RazoRock XXX Aftershave: RazoRock XXX This brush handle is beautifully constructed to be ergonomically perfect. It fits the my hand and the accompanying Shavemac Silvertip Fan completes the deal. The soap doesn't have a chance. The brush produces a thick creamy lather just the way I like it. I don't know if it would be possible to make a better brush. One satisfied customer!

Monday's shave: Start of a new week and a change in scents. Last week I rotated through all my Bay Rum scented soaps - this week it will be the woodsy/outdoor scents. Starting the Captain's Choice North. For the rest of the set up I used my Captain's Choice bowl, SOC Boar, G1 Fatboy with a Personna Lab Blue blade, ending with Nivea balm and Cella after shave. Fourth shave with the Personna blade in the Fatboy - still sharp and gave an excellent three pass shave. Great thick lather - see second photo. I have a number of woodsy scented soaps but no woodsy after shaves - need to get me some.

I did two passes the Every-Ready 1924 razor and a CVS SE blade, I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Speick AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SHAVE OF THE DAY Prep: Musgo Real orange amber Razor: RazoRock Hawk Blade: Feather Pro Guard (3rd shave) Brush: Maggard 26mm synthetic Soap: Grandstaff Amyris Post: Peach Thayers WH, Florida Water (iced) Had a smooth shave this evening. The Grandstaff soap arrived in the mail this monring, I will do a more detailed review once I have had a few more shaves with it. First impressions are very impressive. The scent reminds me a bit of B&M 42 which is strange since both have completely different scent notes. I do get that incense vibe from it, but it is a complex scent for sure. It sure can hold a boat loaf of water without breaking down, very happy so far and would not hesitate to order from Grandstaff again. Their customer service went well beyond any expectations and I greatly appreciate it. Post shave was good enough that I decided not to use any balm since it was not necessary. Hope everyone had a wonderful shaving experience!
