  1. Stirling Black Ice - that lovely anise-scented soap which lathers beautifully and has such an awesome menthol punch with perfect skincare. I used it just before and got a super BBS shave. The Fougere Santal aftershave from my wife did a great job of completing my shave and I love the scent!

  5. Day 27 of 30 days of straights

Today was another very good day shaving with the straight. I did manage to cut myself on my left cheek, but it was a very light cut.. I still need to learn to flair before landing. This was also another day without any irritation. Overall, it is a DFS. I almost managed a BBS, but I am just a touch off.

3 passes with no nicks, 1 cut, no weepers and no irritation.

    Razor: GEM Featherweight
    Brush: JR #60 synthetic
    Lather: Hibco Tobacco
Post: Witch hazel splash, Stirling Mountain Man aftershave
    WTG, touch-up

Nice shave this morning with Hibco Tobacco soap and the GEM Featherweight. Smooth and comfortable. Finished off with Stirling's Mountain Man. The Hibco soap worked quite well. It's not the best soap I own or have used but it worked just fine. I really like the scent.

    Have a great day!

It was a Bay Rum feeling morning. The Taconic Bay Rum is a hard cream so the 10098 had to be used. Great smelling slick lather and a fine 2.5 pass shave. VIBR and the day was on. Have a good 'un!
