Two of the Vegas pickins cleaned up and a question to deconflict my thoughts Gem Junior cleaned ok. Tough to get to the nook and crannies of this one Now for the question on what this really is. Handle says Nov 5 04 but the serial number on the head doesn't jive. Looks like P 70778. She cleaned up well though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's a 1921 Old Type like this one. http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/Old Type/1920 Standard Set No460.JPG Nice find.
That's closer to what I was thinking but figured production was closer to 1926. Either way for a price tag of $29.95 I figured the box was worth almost that and I couldn't pass it up. The Gem Junior was $10
I hauled another straight razor. It is marked Gun Metal it's a 5/8 full hollow spike Marketed by Buckeye Barbers supply Dayton O It was made in Germany I also hauled a Hoffritz pure badger brush (looks never used)
NIB from a local antiques shop. I'm liking my leather scents. It's not the original MEM formula, but instead the New Dana. For $1.25/ounce I can splash it on with abandon. The wooden cap looks like it will take a 24mm brush knot...

Oh you pretty thing. Unfortunately no case so impossible to date precisely, but pre-1985*/post plastic safety bar. These look so much better in gold. Calibration and alignment spot on. *Red numbers, no circle around logo, plain font, Made in Germany Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Vintage Otto Fromm 'Red Head' 6/8" full-hollow, square tip. Mid-1950s in primo shape. Solingen-made carbon steel blade, Upper & lower jimps, three-pin celluloid scales with nickel silver bolsters; nickel-silver red logo badge.
Two items in the mail today. A Lady Eversharp for my GF to use when she doesn't want to use her Gillette Starbust, and not to use my injectors. And I also found a complete top unit for my Toshiba 18.4in laptop, which the screen went bye, bye some time ago, for about 1/2 of what other sellers want for just a used screen, $45.00 shipped.
How did you find the dark synthetic knots at Maggards? I still can only see the other ones on the site.
