To be honest - this is not the best razor in my den. But I like it because it has my name on it And this particular Route 66 soap was not my favorite scent at first ... but the more I use it, the more I enjoy it. Not much left thought - my sample might only last for 2 more shaves. Have a great day everyone!

today i used the Cattaraugus 11/16. with Cella cream and splash.vey nice also have some good news. @Billyfergie dont have to eat his socks lapped the black ark to 1k and then dry polished with 2k wet/dry paper,dry polishing is recommended on the ZG so thought it was worth a try on the ark as well.there was an edge improvement.not huge but some.
I finished a couple of razors on the Arkie yesterday and the Wester Bros. was one of them. It provided a very nice shave but the difference was not as much as I expected. When I finished, I realized I had not completed the process by stropping the freshly honed blade on the scrub and finished leather. Arghhh. Needless to say, the other razor I took to the Arkie has now been properly stropped and is ready to go on Saturday. Some American Steel, Challenge Cutlery. This was a challenge to get a good shave, initially. It took three trips to the hones to get it dialed in. What an exceptional razor since then. A nice heavy smooth shave every time. Three passes tonight for a smooth BBS comfortable shave.
