    Optimal Shave
I went for 42 today because I wanted a pick me up shave. I hadn't shaved since Friday, so my whiskers were longer and easier for my Futur to cut. I actually forgot to use preshave beyond cold water. I'm tired because my dog woke me up at 2:30am, but my face feels and smells great.
    Prep: cold water
    Soap: B-M 42
    Brush: Brothers Bristles Bronze Shadow
    Razor: Futur on six
    Blade: voskhod
    AS: B-M 42

Good morning. Another excellent shave with the Gillette Mach 3 Disposable. These shave every bit as good as the original. Three passes for a dolphin smooth and refreshing finish. Enjoy your day friends. :D

The end result was the same, a nice shave, but moving down in sharpness from a feather blade to the rapira, skipping a shave, and being rushed for the prep all contributed to a slightly rough shave.

    Prep: Hot Shower.
    Razor: Supply Provision Co.* Sensitive
    Blade: Schick
    Lather: Stirling Scots Pine Sheep
    Brush: Stirling Finest Badger
    Aftershave: B&M Reserve Cool
Goodness. This shave was as perfect as it can get. Stirling Scots Pine Sheep takes it to another level, the Stirling 24mm fan knot is killer!! The Single Edge razor is an automatic BBS, I had a beautiful 3 pass shave with just a tad bit of touch-up. The Supply Provision Co injector very well could be the last razor I buy. I'm sold on it. Finished with B&M Reserve Cool, good juice.

*** Switching out the blade was very simple, I went from the classic head to the sensitive head.

A terrific Menthol Monday shave thanks to the Glacial Spearmint soap. The scent filled the bathroom, the lather was so rich, and the freeze hit me like a ton of bricks. The matching balm and the Snake Bite worked their magic beautifully!

Had to call in the 2nd string this morning.

A while ago I got a few ARKO soap sticks and one of those "push-up" tubes to keep one in as I'll be traveling a bit over the next few months. Anyway, wet my face with warm water while the stick was soaking. Ran some hot water over my synthetic brush. Rubbed the stick into my stubble. Face lathered and things were looking good.......for a couple minutes. Started noticing that the soap was not exactly getting rinsed off the razor by running hot water over it. Then it became obvious that the remaining lather on my face was hardening up like a plaster cast. Nice for a death mask, not so nice for a shave. Quickly shaved off the rest and we all know what results when "quickly" is used in the same sentence as shave. No, not a cut or weeper, just a lot of missed stubble. So, open up the medicine cabinet and bring out the Barbasol. Rinse the rest of the drywall paste off my face, apply a nice coat of Barbasol and resume shave (2nd pass, minor touch-up). Ended up with a DFS. Took a while to rinse out the brush. I'll be traveling with a couple "trip sized" barbasol cans. I guess ARKO is one thirsty turkey.

Soap(s): ARKO stick / Barbasol can (green)
    Brush: Omega S10065 synthetic
    Razor: RazoRock German 37 slant
    Blade: Voskhod (2)
    After Shave: Pinaud Special Reserve

    Menthol Monday SOTD

Pre: A lot of hot water
    Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable 109
    Blade: The Voskhod
    Brush: Omega 6212 Silvertip
    Cream: Proraso Green(tube)
Post: Hot/cold rinse, alum block, cold towelx2 and Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer
    After Shave: Proraso Green
The weather outside was chilly and it was cool in my den too. As usual the Proraso Green whipped up into a great cooling lather. The SA-109/Voskhod combo took care of the Monday stubble. "7" on the first pass, "5" on the second and the half. The baby came for a visit. I'm on a roll, that's two in a row. A splash of Proraso Green and it was off to work!
    Have a great day folks!
