... first shave with the Gillette slim I got as a house-warming gift. Wonderful gesture and wonderful razor. Went with setting 5 as a start at least. Also got a maggards brush in the mailbox today too. Lovely brush that produced lots of lather.

The Col. Conk Amber Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh TSD Challenge Boar brush. I did two passes the PA Bakelite Slant razor and Asco Super Stainless blade, and I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Tonight's shave was with my first Straight Razor. Well, the first that counts in over 30 years. I had a great 2 pass shave, that was silky smooth. BBS results.

Soap- ARKO/Sandalwood
Aftershave- Arctic Blue

Since I've been away a few days...I'll post yesterday and todays shave...

First attempt at using this soap...and I don't think I pulled enough product and I KNOW I used to much water. Lather turned out thin and foamy...so not that great of a shave. I'll try again when it comes back around in the rotation. Scent though...is wonderful!
