You know what I think? Toss em after two. I wear em out quickly too, and I toss even Feather AC blades after four. I don't care if people are getting fourteen + out of them, I can get three or four and then I can't do my neck anymore without feeling like I am ripping hair out by the roots. Still way cheaper than carts, and I'm not gonna quibble over a few cents a shave if it means I'm not getting weepers on my neck. If you throw em out after two for a while, you'll know it isn't the blade. You may be Frugal Frank, but you can't be that frugal.

If I tell you that I cut the grass in my work pants when they start to fray, still have my Serggio Tachini's from the 80's, etc. Welllllll OK, for me, I just like to see how far a blade can go. You are right, I cannot stand the feeling of a dull or not so sharp blade. For those who can get away using a less sharp blade, when it starts to dull, THAT is how a new blade feels to me unless it is one of the sharper variety. Cheap, isn't really the issue. I still have lots of sample pack blades to go through and I give each a very fair shot. This is going to take some time to go through all of them. So far, my post script lists those that served me the best. I just like to get my money's worth. Do you know how expensive it is to live in the NYC metropolitan area? I need to be. I have less than 1400 sq ft on less than .2 acre and pay $14K in taxes. Cannot wait for my daughter to get out of school to move to a cheaper neighborhood. got to pinch every penny.
