  1. Have you seen my Custom Title? I would think with my spirit of good naturedness, I am allowed a little creative license.

Very good three passes with a light touch up. Excellent menthol Monday combination.

  3. Last two shaves. Got a really fast shave with the Barbasol floating head, and got to try the Soapmakers of Awesometown soap. I like the scent, but it's a little hard to figure out something to pair with. From my first use, I would say the base is even better than their previous one.

This morning I grabbed my Kamisori. Training for Mayhem. I got a high grade DFS. Good shave.

Of course, now I am wishing I hadn't gotten as good of a shave. Today's mail call:

  4. I'm saving mine for Mayhem
  5. Oh I don't disagree. I'm just thinking you may have pushed into a whole new area Strawberry Cheesecake.
  6. That's one of my early ones. The amount of time that goes into the handles makes them more expensive, so I don't make as many of them.
  7. April 10, 2017...

Day 4 with the Canadian Schick E3, Schick injector blade fourth use, second day with the Mariana Cottage Shaving Soap.

Since the Schick E3 has been a fairly efficient shaver for me, I decided to see if I could get by with a single ATG pass and some touchups. With all the touch ups I had to do, I should have done a second pass. I'm thinking tomorrow XTG followed by ATG. There were a few spots on my neck that I was able to get nice and smooooth... but some spots still needed some work. The alum as always confirmed what the trouble spots are, and I'm beginning to think a SE razor and my neck simply aren't compatible. At least not to the point of an irritation free shave. I'm also noticing that I seem to have a permanent shadow for a Van Dyke. But maybe it is the lighting in the bathroom.

Since I demand perfection I won't talk about DFS or BBS, but I'm satisfied with it.
  8. Congrats on the 2 beautiful new razors Adam. I am sure it will be hard to choose which to use first.
  9. Beautiful Koraat razors, Adam!
  10. That is just an awesome brush.

In the last month, I have just been using straights, and a guy forgets what a really nice razor this DX is. A guy needs to pay attention to what he's doing tho, cause there is no forgiveness in it. Little nick on my neck; a lesson in respect.

Hiked a lot of miles through the mud today, and in really bad boots. I left home without them and had to stop and buy a new pair. I have amassed so many pairs of boots over the years that the Imelda Marcos museum contacted me last year about housing my collection. No way was I buying a good pair, so I just grabbed up a $20 pair of rubbers. Oof, do my feet hurt. No blisters at least, which is good, cause I have to do it again tomorrow. I have prescribed myself a half pint of Jack Daniels, and it is beginning to do its job.

  17. Ugh. You guys are going to make me pick up straights again. I bet I can still run one too. But sheesh i would have to give up DE's. I do not ever consider giving up SE's by the way.
  18. Your gonna have to start handing out eye bleach.
  19. I have the Marshlands aftersahave-how did you like the shavesoap?
  20. It is pretty decent soap. I have only used the sample a couple of times and I don't have the water dialed in correctly. It doesn't need a lot, and doesn't like it either. Plenty, plenty slick, but both times I used it, it broke and wanted to disappear. The scent is earthy and a little bit nutty. The Marshland name is well suited, it does remind me a bit of the peat swamps in springtime, before they start to cook. I probably wouldn't buy a tub of this scent, but would try a sample of another scent.
