I must admit, I've been wet shaving for 6-7 years now, but I still use a $10 Tweezerman brush from Amazon. I'm over 30 now, it's time for me to upgrade. Where do I even start? I hear good things about the Simpson brushes. I have a Parker brush but it's too floppy. I was given a Body Shop synthetic but it was too stiff.
Check out WildWestBrushWorks on Etsy. Pick up the handle you like best and have Derek add a Tuxedo knot. You'll get a fantastic Custom brush at a great price.
Welcome to TSD, @jarmandc , it is good to have you here. I can help you with a new brush. Jayaruh Shaving Brushes
The first brush I bought was also a Tweezerman. It was a good brush. I was inspired to make my own brush by a fellow TSD member about 2 1/2 years ago. Now, I have 161 brushes that bear the JR mark.
As the soon to be end user of JR #161 I can wholeheartedly recommend @Jayaruh brushes. Jim's a craftsman.
I've had good luck with Frank Shaving Brushes out of China, via Ebay. I paid around $15 total for a very nice badger. I am bet if you email them with your requirements, they will guide you.
Have a look at the Stirling 26/54 2 band finest, it's a great brush at a great price. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

My first nice brush was a Simpson Duke 3 in best, good all around brush for face or bowl, not to floppy, no to stiff. Years later and many other brushes later I still enjoy using it.
