  3. I want multiple angles of this lather bowl. I like the extra groves inside that will generate more later, but I have to make sure it matches your brush, soap and after shave.

Edit........I didn't even realize Douglas had a question about the same bowl. Straight Razor Dandy may be forced to make a thread about it in the forum. lol
  4. That kinda thing happens.

  5. These are Suribachi bowls. They are made in Japan. Essentially, they are mortar and pestle bowls for grinding seeds and grains. The grooves on the inside combined with the shallow depth and wide, open top combine for exploding lather made easy. Out the dozens...Yes, dozens...of lather bowls I have used, they are definitely the BEST.
I was turned onto them through @RyX
And @Sparrow . They may have more available as well. You can also find them on eBay and Amazon...But they aren't as nice as the ones those gentlemen I mentioned have and can get.

    Dove Men Face Wash
    Arko
    Bunny B-400 Cashmere
    EJ89 Ebony
    Wilkinson Sword
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Barbasol AS

The Arko Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Bunny B-400 Cashmere synthetic brush. I did two passes the EJ89 Ebony razor and Wilkinson Sword blade, and I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  17. Tonight's shave was with a razor that has moved up top be a "First String Razor". I touched it up with a Surgical Black Arkansas Progression stone, and it was magnificent. I had a 2 pass shave that was BBS and it slid through the beard like butter. No Nicks, Cuts, or Weepers. Only Smooooth goodness. You've got to love these Arkansas Stones.

Razor- "The Gong" Extra Hollow Ground
Brush- Burma Shave Boar. Surprise, no hair shedding tonight.
    Soap- ARKO/Avon Spicy
    Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman
