  1. Thank you for the details. I was always curious myself. The bowls look great to use.

  2. Thanks. It was enjoyable as well, although I think the Romera is still losing a bit of the black paint? during the brush mashup. It's too bad that the black is not more colorfast. I've only used the brush a handful of times and I'm hoping it's almost done running. Otherwise, a winner.

  3. Been a while since I discovered suribachi bowls. Found my first at a local Asian Market. It was small - 4 inches in diameter. The shallow sloping sides sure beat an Old Spice mug. The texture of the unglazed inner surface works air into the soap and water quickly.
The bowls that Thomas @Straight razor dandy & I are using (tan inner surface with black glossy outer) were sourced by John@Sparrow from a shop in or near Osaka, Japan. John found the ones with a symmetrical pattern that I was seeking.
If anyone's interested in finding one be certain of the size you order. Between 4-6 inches fits the hand well. They are available in smaller and much larger variations.

Wonderful shave with the PAL Injecto-Matic this morning. Three passes for a dolphin smooth and refreshing finish. Enjoy your day friends. :)
  12. As if yesterday's shave with the Iced Subzero wasn't cold enough (it was freezing!) this one with the Glacial Lemon Chill was a lot colder. I'd say there's at least three times as much menthol in this soap but the lemon scent comes out very nicely also. The Lemon Chill witch hazel went on frigidly-cold and felt so good. Another great BBS shave! :happy088: :happy088:

Have a great weekend, folks! :)

Today's shave was all that and a bag of chips. Tobs avo is very nice to smell, but it feels soooo nice on my face. The plisson is soft as air, and made an abundance of lather. Three passes with the ever elegant golden fatboy, I'm silky smooth and comfy. Alum, then a slatherring of woody's.
Hope y'all did as well, or better. (Your a happy shaver if you did). 20170421_081054_resized.jpg
