Ok, I'm going to give that a shot since you all but issued a Double Dog Dare. 1)Shave 2)Rinse 3)Splash on WH 4) Here's where I get fuzzy (as opposed to Get Fuzzy). With a WH wetted face proceed to do buffing, touch up, etc? The WH gives enough lubrication?
I have a Shapton 16k glass stone and very happy with it. The edges are sharp and smooth despite the reputation of synthetic stones
Yes to Number 4. I generally dry my face then put it on. It works great for me. Slick enough to buff away. I like it much better then a third lather pass,
I justed started maintaining my edges and also you need is one stone for that. Maintaining an edge that has a good bevel is easy, lay it flat on the stone and push back and forth with light pressure. I started with a Naniwa SS12k. Also buy a cheap strop and some Cromium oxide paste. A pasted stop can be used inbetween touching up on a stone. I also use the cromium oxide after touching up on the stone.
For the sake of Jason @jtspartan, I'm looking into the details of forming a MMOLPM (Massive Multiplayer On Line Private Message). I'm not sure if there is a limit to the number of participants of a PM. When I get details about implementation, you'll hear it here! For those who haven't, consider how you will get funds into Jason's hands to compensate for the Bulk Knot Order when we gather all details, and to cover your Postage. I'm thinking PayPal, but we need Jason's input.
Whatever you guys come up with, I'm sure we'll all be happy to oblige. I also would propose that it would be a nice gesture for each of us to consider voluntarily PIFing something from our den as a token of appreciation for what he is doing. I know he doesn't want anything in return, because of the additional pressure it might put on him, but there is always the option of PIFing something crappy if he botches the job on any of the handles. See, no pressure @jtspartan. I'm here to help!
I agree, let's curtail discussion of this publicly, it's getting a bit voluminous. @RyX can start a PM thread. Just my $.02...
**Seriously interested in the Limited Edition 30 Day Crew Brush?** Please send me a PM for inclusion to the Private Discussion Group.
So far I'm liking it. Do you apply with a splash or with a cotton ball? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Yes it works wonders. I'm actually able to get the back of my jawline. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
I guess vintage in that they do not make it anymore. Not sure how old this stuff is though. Maybe someone knows when they stopped making it.
To keep my PM box from melting down I'll invite The Usual Suspects to the LE30DC brush discussion. If anyone finds themselves left out, feel free to PM me.
I think it's fun to still own something that isn't made anymore. As I've said a few times, Rise International stopped producing its white Super Foam, in favor of a smaller blue, but I still have 5 of the larger whites left. Call me Grandpappy!!
Yup! If you look elsewhere on the Pace Shaving site, you'll see a list of "partners" and the specific products they carry.
