Arko Adjustable April!!!!! April 26 Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Fatboy (6) Blade - (1) Soap - Arko Brush - Jayaruh #46 Post - Alum After three trying days with the Slim and Derby - only trying because of the Derby NOT the Slim - I loaded a Sharp Star into the Fatboy to enjoy a day or three of shaves as we finish out Arko Adjustable April. Four days after this. WOW! Time has really flown again. And, we've been a talkative and shenanigan filled crew again as well. Every post now is a new record for the 30 Day Thread in a month and I want to thank everyone again for your participation around here. I love this place. And it wouldn't be "this place" without all of you. Ok, enough of all of that. We'll have a group hug in a bit I'm sure. Two very fine passes on very fine lather with a very fine razor and blade. The finish? An extremely fine near-BBS. The alum? It was fine, thank you. Nothing to worry about at all. Shaves don't get much better than this. There's a part of me that wishes it had been a different scented soap but - you can't argue the slickness and thickness of the Arko. Nope, not gonna complain at all. I took a quick pic of the setup for tonight and included a new friend in the den. You saw the box a couple of days ago but I thought I'd open it up and let you say hi to "Matthew". He said it was ok to show off just a bit tonight. MAYhem is getting closer by the hour!
Love the brush, but the Delta Echo treatment on the Ever-Ready is the bomb! Just amazing. They look like they are made for one another! Steve

Thur 27th April RazoRock Syn. 24mm MWF Merkur Futur - original Lab Blue [ 2 ] Alum Rub/Rinse off Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion After a lay off from DE razors, I just had to use a Merkur Futur which was my first purchase of a modern DE after a plastic Wilkison , when I escaped from Cartridge Land. Since those early days, I have moved onto Vintage SE/Injectors and have developed quite a light touch. Today with a super lather from the MWF, I had probably one of my best ever Shaves with this Razor. Though I have a tough beard, I find that a setting of 2.5 lets me have a smooth and comfortable Shave, as the Futur on higher settings has caught a few folk out.

Great Vintage Shave! u got me jealous of that VEG bottle, as a matter of fact... i am going to splash some VEG in a few for my work day....
Another awesome shave which left me frozen-stiff. I'm warning you guys, this Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo soap is killer-cold and I cannot believe the lather is so good despite such a high menthol content. The Diana balm and the Rubby Dubby Doo added to the fun!
Hello everyone. Today's shave: - RazoRock "Mudder Focker" - Grosvenor/Frank Shaving Finest - Colonial General - Feather Professional - Floïd After Shave Very close and smooth shave. But I am still not sure which SE razor I like better - General or RazoRocks Hawk...
@Marverel please trust me as a Freemason because I'm going to tell you a real secret the force is very strong and far more powerful across the galaxy and in the universe is the Colonial Razors "The General"

SOTD April 27, 2017 Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: Schick M Adjustable injector Brush: Jayaruh boar Lather: Wickham 1912 Cashmere Post: Witch hazel, TSD Iced Barber Shoppe aftershave WTG, touch-up Nice and enjoyable shave this morning. I went with the Schick Adjustable and will probably finish out the month with it. The Wickham soap lathers quite easily and is high quality. The TSD Barber Shoppe scent pairs up really well with the Cashmere scent of the soap. A terrific shave overall. Have a great day!
