Just two more lather bowls from The Distinctive Goat. First one is called Sinker Log Shave Bowl and this is what he states about the bowl: "In the late 1800's Cypress was cut for timber and floated out of the bayous in mass. Occasionally logs would sink to the bottom during the journey. This is the wood used to make a limited quantity of shaving bowls. We have wood that has been underwater for 100+ years and who knows how old the tree was when it was harvested. Being in the water of the bayou the logs absorbed minerals and tannic acids to produce some amazing colors in the wood". This one style 4 in the sinker log series. This one is Style 10. Initially purchased for a friend in CA who birthday is in 3 weeks but just spoke with him less than half hour ago and all he does is face lather now so add another bowl to my collection!
I'm waiting on a vintage razor that I've never heard of before. Google takes me to a load of court suits(from the 30/40s). If anybody had a waits, please chime in.
