I'll take a PIF Randy, but will add a replacement to the PIF pile you are asking for.

Living in a virtual Mayberry that's teetering on the edge of the 21st century I have had my experience tempered somewhat. My first cousin's (mom's side) wife is the Manager at the DMV. Typical visit involves walking in, taking a number like everyone else. Then I'd catch her eye, smile, and ask a question about my business at her shop. Jump to the head of all the lines, go straight to her work station cubicle. She'd keyboard a couple moments, tally the bill, sign the papers, out the door. The DMV has never been so pleasant since I've gotten my Nepotism Connection on the inside.

maybe the sandalwood overpowered the earthy scent for me :)!!

All joking aside, even when I smelled the soap when it arrived, it did not have a large earthy scent to me. Maybe my nose does not pick up that scent that well. So far, I am very happy with it. Is it possible they changed it a little or changed vendors for the fragrance/essential oils so it changed the scent? I do not know. Mine seems fine to me. It could just be a case of different preferences for different people.

Oh, to live in Mayberry! I would imagine most folks are reasonably nice and polite there no matter where they work, and I'm sure you understand my post wasn't a shot at those kinds of folks, Rick. South Florida is very different. The weather is nice, but most everyone here is a transplant from somewhere else who comes from one of many varying different cultures. This results in a lot of people not being on the same page a lot of the time, and makes going to the DMV (or the mall for that matter) a very different experience here.

Perfect. It'll take a few days for me to get a list posted and everything worked out, but I felt I would be remiss in not awarding you the first one due to your "over the top" efforts.

In the last five years this small town has added another casino & a major new petroleum plant. The influx of temp workers, and those that staff the new facilities has changed the tone somewhat. We now have "traffic". That means you may have to wait a second cycle at a traffic light. The evening news does a round up of who got shot where & why, but it's a much shorter segment than I recall from Atlanta's news just five years ago. It's still a friendly place, but I lock my house & truck.
As to the DMV? Without "getting political" I'd prefer folks working at government jobs remembered they work for the rest of us. Some of them understand, but others have made it the paradigm that They Are In Charge of us common citizens.

Right next door to the oldest Louisiana Harley-Davidson shop, across the street from an old fashion Feed Store is Homsi's. It's a gas station that only sells Regular unleaded. Inside you can get cold beer, liquor, cigarettes, lotto tickets, fresh cracklins, bait shrimp for fishing, fresh cut rib-eye steaks, frozen or ready to eat boudin in mild or spicy.
Think I'll get moving around now. A 20 ounce blue creme soda & a link of spicy, please! They wrap the 16" natural skinned rice & pork sausage in paper, and give you enough paper towels to wipe up the juicy drips. Then I'll tour the new Beauty Supply store just opened next door.

You'd think. Not so much. Turns out the dealer didn't have the right lien release attached and....."we didn't know if the one we gave you would work but the right one is on its way". I just spent the past 20 minutes taking out the title clerk at the dealer on the phone. I'm not sure if they've ever heard that many uses of words starting with "F" in that short a period. I'm slowly beginning to cool off. But it may be a bit. :angry032::angry032::angry032: I get having to jump through hoops for the State at times. But when the dealer is an idiot - well, my patience ends about there.

Rules have been changed slightly in the 30 DC Mayhem Awards thread in order to eliminate any chance of the remote possibility that newbies (or anyone else for that matter) may be encouraged to emulate the stupidity that is so rampantly on display in this forum for everyone's amusement. Minor changes, so it still should be lots of fun. Also, changed it from a PIFs to "awards" as I don't really want people saying "I'm in" or trying stupid human tricks thinking it will qualify them to get them some sort of fabulous prize, as that was never the intent, nor was it going to happen. I know no one here was confused by this, but you never who will wander past the thread so I decided to err on the side of caution here. Thanks for a couple of moderators (who shall remain nameless) who advised me to make some wise changes to the rules to improve the thread while still keeping it fun and funny for everyone.
