    Schick E3
    Astra SP
    Stirling Mountain Man
    Satin Tip The Purest
    Florida Water

Good morning friends! Last night I had my first MAYhem shave. My Schick E3 injector loaded with a modified Astra SP. The save felt very injectoresq with a a few subtle differences. First of all the save was smooth and the blade cut well, no issues with tugging and it didn't feel harsh or more aggressive then with an injector blade. So what were the differences ? First of all the DE blade in the injector was very loud, easily twice as much audible feedback as with a Chick blade. Secondly the blade didn't feel as rigid. Even after three passes there was still sound of the blade scraping whiskers, I though for sure I wasn't going to end up with a very close shave. After the 3rd pass, when rinsing off my face I was surprised at how close the shave actually was, just as close as when using a Chick blade. Overall I'd call this experiment a success, let see how many shaves I can get out of a single side of a DE blade in an injector. Typically an Astra will last me 4 shaves in a DE, if i can get more then two out of this side I will be pretty amazed. I finished off with a spritz of Florida Water and went to bed smelling great! I really really like Mountain Man! Have a great day everyone!

  8. Baili TTO razor
    Gillette Silver Blue blade
    JR #85 brush
    Williams SS (vintage)
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Barbasol Brisk A/S w/added menthol

The last time I used the Baili, it was with a Treet blade and as I recall it was an ok shave. Well, today, as I walked past my razor cabinet, the Baili was crying out, "Use me, use me". So I did and paired with a GSB blade and a good pairing it was. Excellent shave and my face is happy. Of course, kudo's to Williams for a great lather as well. Now go enjoy your day folks.

  11. Yes Chris. The Shave Secret works just fine for me but also once I moved to Texas with my girlfriend I inherited twin boys and time is short now. :happy102:
  12. Great shave today. Dr. Jons V2 performance was very good, though I don't think any better than v1. But the soap is much harder than v1 which I guess is nice, but not really something I complained about[IMG]

  14. Wednesday turned into Wedge day this morning. Certainly one of my nicer looking razors this wedge has a shave all it's own. It definitely is heavier in the hand and requires more pressure. But the alum is nearly silent afterwards. Smooth and silent - a really nice shave. :happy036:
