Just received this unobtanium set today and can't wait to try it out tomorrow. The scent is unique and intoxicating imo....wifey likes it too.

HAD A DECENT SHAVE THIS EVENING. GREAT LATHER FROM THE WAR BLEND AND THE MENTHOL FELT NICE COMBINED WITH THE COLD WATER. THE LORD PLATINUM MAY BE MY LEAST FAVORITE OF THE LORD BLADES, BUT THE SHAVE WENT OK, NOT GREAT BUT ACCEPTABLE. HIOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT SHAVE!

Re: the brush- I believe it's stabilized wood and resin (faux tortoise). The maker calls it Briar. The knot is a two band medium density, pretty scrubby but I've only used it once. It made a fantastic lather. I'm interested to see if it will break in at all. There is an even distribution of dark hairs and the lighter hairs are curling slightly.

I like that handle.

Blade: Asco Super Stainless (red wrapper) (8).
After shave: Arko Men Cool after shave cream.

This Souplex has "normal" thread size i.s.o. the usual (?) M5x0.75 thread size.
Nice razor - mild and effective.

Beaudelaire Day
Excellent scent, excellent lather, excellent shave. So far, I like the tuxedo knot better than the cashmere. It could simply be the size - both are 24mm at the base, but the tuxedo acts larger in use for some reason - maybe less springy.
