Today's shave was with a $10 "Rescue Razor" that looked hopeless. It had a very bad chip, on the toe, that had to be ground to make it usable. It now is a smiling blade, somewhat. I had a great 2 pass shave, that couldn't have gone smoother. The Surgical Black Arkansas stone made the edge Buttery Smooth. BBS result, without any issues. No Sting at all, from the aftershave. 05/06/2017 Jamie's morning shave. I am a night shaver but today my youngest daughter Gabby had her 1st Communion so I had to look & smell like a million bucks. last night I used the mega aggressive Pearl Open Comb TTO, so all I needed was a quick cleanup this morning and the Schick Xtreme 3 and Barbosal yellow performed wonderful! The Dutch aftershave Reuzel was used and I am liking it! It feels so slick and has a fresh clean and mellow scent, the perfect pairing with TABAC cologne - I will be using this combo again...

SOTD May 6, 2017 Used the @Primotenore randomizer today. Went with the GEM 1912 today with a shimmed blade. I used two injector blades and glued them together to make the shim. Smooth shave in the end. It felt a bit more aggressive than an unshimmed blade, but still smooth. I enjoyed it. Nice soap and aftershave pairing. The randomizer did a great job today. A call from a Stirling soap has changed my Sunday plans: Razorock Plissoft 26 mm Monster Super Speed + Rapira on day 7 Stirling Barbershop SS Lubriderm Unscented Moisturizer Booster Mosswood AS Splash I haven't used the Barbershop soap in at least six months - would you say it's time? The Barbon cream can wait a few more days. I wish I had the Barbershop's matching aftershave, but unless a Canadian vendor starts to sell it it ain't gonna happen. The Mosswood is still better than good enough for me - it's a Canadian classic!
Sunday's Shave Nivea Men Face Wash VDH Luxury Bunny B-400 Badger Gem 1911 Lather Catcher CVS SE CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayer's Lemon WH Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS The VDH Luxury Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Bunny B-400 Badger brush. I did two passes the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher razor and CVS SE blade, and I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
