Easy fix is a gallon of distilled from the grocery store. It'll last a long time since making lather doesn't take much. A couple drops of lemon juice might help with the tap water.
You could always buy distilled water and heat it up. I wonder if boiling the well water might help? I'm also on a well and I just beat the heck out of the soap and eventually it just gives up.
I should order a bottle of that AS, since I enabled you to get one. The Ladies in your life approve the scent?
Totally Russian today. Except the brush. This is a pretty neat little razor. There are six parts to assemble it. It has a corrugated steel spacer. The picture in the instructions shows a blade on either side of it. My guess is that it makes it somewhat adjustable. It didn't make sense to me. I put the spacer under the blade. Looking straight down at the cap, there is a lot of blade exposed. Since this is a first using this razor, I shouldn't have used an unfamiliar blade and soap. It was reluctant to cut. Overall I had a pretty good shave. It took a while. No weepers or cuts. Fairly close shave. Why? Was it the soap, the blade or the razor? Next time I will use a more familiar blade to try this razor. This razor is very light. The lightest I have ever used. It is made of aluminium, plastic, and the steel spacer. The soap was pretty nice. The aftershave is quite menthol. It was nice. Strong but nice. Have a great week everyone. That is a Voskhod tube in the picture. Razor: Russian Travel Razor, Soap: KPEM Brush: RazoRock Synthetic Aftershave: Kpem Blade: Voskhod
Today's shave was with a Scottish Made Razor. It was freshly honed, and much of the rust was knocked off. I had a wonderfully smooth 2 pass shave, with BBS results. Excellent razor. Right around the time where he launched his shave soaps on his site, he made my custom soaps that I use in the Green and White shave kits. Anyway, he keeps selling out and has trouble keeping up with demand. If you want to grab some of his soaps before they become hard to get, I recommend you do it before his stock sells out.
