I had some time this afternoon and decided to work on my new MAYhem razor. I want to start by thanking Adam for designing Finger Razor 1.0. I made some design improvements and would like to present Finger Razor 2.0.
I had some design changes in mind when coming up with this beauty. It had to be removeable without the need for help from my lovely wife and it had to be reusable. I also wanted it to be more of a Western style that could be used with both hands rather than a Wa-Kamisori that limits me to one hand.
The following are the steps used to create the prototype that will receive its first use tomorrow.
A quick run to Walgreens and I had a handle.

Because I want it to be ambidextrous, I grabbed two Gem blades and muted the corners on my Norton barbers hone. The blades fit the handle nicely. One on each side.

Time for a bandaid break as blade placement was a little difficult. It has drawn first blood.

For blade retention, I decided on Gorilla Duct tape as it is a little stiffer and stickier than standard duct tape. The blades are actually quite stable in this mounting.

I think I have a winner here. It's easy to switch hands with it and the blades are stable. Wish me luck
