    MAYhem is there a Focus?

    Barbasol Arctic Chill, Vulfix #2235A
    Gillette NEW LC, Feather Hi-Stainless
    Alum, Barbasol Pacific Rush AS

An unimaginative Menthol Monday, but chilly and satisfying. To combat the fluffiness of canned cream, I punch it down in a bowl. With no issues about loading I moistened a floppy badger and punched the lather down. Paint brush strokes applied , the OC DE performed better than expected. Three+ passes achieved DFS quality reduction, though the alum was warm. Splash and a half of AS cooled it right down.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

Beautiful looking NEW, Rick! After enjoying my Techs and Old Type, I'd love to pick up a NEW SC or LC. Guess I have a touch of Gillette 3 piece RAD...

Simpson Chubby 2 Synthetic "Soap Destroyer"
    La Toja

Last night I put the "Soap Destroyer" to work on on my VdH bowl filled with grated La Toja. I really want to finish up this soap so that I can use the bowl to hold some samples, so I think I will use this soap every other shave until its gone. The Ch2 whipped up a fantastic later, enough for 10 passes fully loaded! The lather was great but the shave was a little rough as the Astra didn't have enough "cow bell" left in it. I finished pp with some of my homemade lime AS, got a little burn from the alcohol, and a spot of Nivea ASB. Have a great day my friends!

I picked this one up in a trade at an antique shop. It's a good shaver! The raw brass polishes up nice. If/when I get ahead in hobby money I'd like to get it nickle plated.

I've done well 'in the wild' at antique/2nd Hand/Junk stores locally here in South Eastern BC and South Western Alberta. Seems to be mostly Made in Canada models around (shocking, I know...). Lots of Techs, Flare Tips, Black Beauties, etc. Tons of Injectors as well. Scooped the only decent Old Type I've come across. Just haven't seen any of the NEW models yet in the stores & towns I've been to in the last 6 months or so. It is fun to keep looking!

Great picture. The soap destroyer will soon have your soap inventory on the run.

All these pics of injectors and SE razors is giving me a bad case of RAD! :angry017:

    SharptoothC I bite..........

Keep in mind the injector doesn't need quite the angle that most DE razors need. I tried to use mine like I would use a DE at first and the results weren't stellar. Then I worked with it flatter against the face and things changed very much for the better.

Not much MAYhem to report over the last couple of shaves with the New SC. The shaves have been fantastic with Feather and Astra SP blades, albeit a little boring, compared to my 30 Day brothers.

I can finally see the bottom of the Eufros soap tin. It is currently my favorite soap. Once I use it up, I've got a bar of Mike's Natural Soap to drop in the container.

I spent the good part of the day with my Mom. She had successful cataract surgery today. We are blessed with a wonderful doc and a very caring staff. I know many folks have prayed for her, and I very much appreciate that.

I hope you all are having a fantastic week.

Beautiful photo Doug. Love the coordinating blues. On the bright side the snow makes the colors pop.

Glad to hear the good news about your Mom. Enjoy her while you have her. I lost mine to the ravages of Alzheimer's three years ago. And yes, it's gonna be a fantastic week come Wednesday when my oldest gets home.

Thanks Jim. I appreciate the kind and wise words.

I'm so happy that you will be reunited with your son this week. My sincere thanks and respect to him for his service. You must be incredibly proud of him! If it works out, post a son and dad photo. :)
