Thanks Keith. Good news about your Dad too. I always knew my Mom had eyes in the back of her head. Now what will I do?
Tuesday morning shave: I am off today because we are having a presidential election here so I could have a nice all the bells and whistles shave. Today's razor is my Dovo Bismarck fresh off a Shapton glass 16k refresh. The edge was sweet today, very smooth and very sharp. Four passes but operator error gave me two small weepers and little bit of tickle from the alum. Finished dolphin smooth. Irritation A Closeness A+ Smoothness A+ Sharpness A
Before you ever think of scrapping a batch of ice cream, let me know. I'll catch the next weekend flight to Mar-a-Lago.
Beautiful, Doug! Having said that, maybe I'll wait to post my beach pics from the weekend until tomorrow, to try and keep the marines from getting upset about cold weather and putting together "operation ice the ice cream man" and storming one of the nearby beaches!
I know you have Castle Forbes and a few other soaps. How do you like the Martin de Candre compared to them? Would you get it again if you had the choice over?
I cannot speak for KM but I have Castle Forbes Limes and have tried MdC scented. To me, they are both top shelf soaps. CFL smells so perfect and I found it made a great lather. Even convinced a coworker to buy a tub and he loves it for his SR shaves. You need so little Castle Forbes, like MdC , to make lather. I am ruined for all other lime soaps.
I Actually forgot to post this earlier. Even with all the fun stuff I have remained with my focus of the synthetic JR #137. Today was a face lather of a favorite rose scent cream. Rose of Bulgaria. It did great with the little pain stick with glued in injector blade. Finished it all off with Stetson cool moisturizing.
