What about the first part of that question...are the Ted Pella PAL blue carbons the same as the drugstore Supers?? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
You know I am not sure. I was going to try them myself to see. My thoughts are that they are the same.
Razor: Pal injectomatic Blade: Pal/ Personna Soap: Arko Brush: JR 118 A/S: Thayers First go with the pal tonight, start was a little rough, used a pal hollow ground that was with it. Very tuggy, swapped out for personna after two strokes, rest of the shave went very smooth save one nick on top of the head ( small breakout patch from reaction to oil at work). Today starts my week focus on arko, and month focus on the pal and JR 118. Overall really impressed with the razor and shave, no feedback from Thayers except for the nick. Yea, I'm very happy with it, picked it up today, still had the blank in it and instructions and ten pack of pal blades( not impressed) in the case. Thinking bout going hardware minimalist and will reserve judgement til the focus is over but this may very well be one of my three I'm gonna keep. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Nice. I remember when I had 3 razors......no. I really do not remember that at all. Good luck with that.
Sunday 14th May RR Hawk with S/S Handle & Schick Proline P-20 [ 6 ] The Hawk on its own is no good for me. With the addition of a S/S handle it is quite agile with a lot of blade feel and may be classed as aggressive. A light touch is required but with care one can easily get a good close Shave.
I don't know either....What worries me, is it doesn't say Super....I remember @HoosierTrooper tried some EMS or Pella PAL Blue Blades and hated them...They had to be a different blade...I need to find that article... And we need to see how many facets the edge has with the PAL Supers...That might help...In the meantime... Check these out...these I know are the same...and thats like $12 for 30 blades... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001T8QK7Y/?tag=thshde-20

When are we going to have a micro matic shave day? Spread a little extra love for the outcast of the Gem family.
Sunday's Shave Nivea Men Face Wash VDH Lime Made-Rite 12 Boar Gem 1911 Lather Catcher CVS SE CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayer's Lemon WH Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS The VDH Lime Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Made-Rite 12 Boar brush. I did two passes the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher razor and CVS SE blade, and I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
The Ever Ready 1914 is, in my opinion, one of the best SE razors ever made! The shaves I get out of it are nothing less than stellar. Enjoy it!
