This is certainly no time for acorny joke, but I was on pines and needles because you didn't axe her first. I couldn't beleaf it! So willow you move it or stand by your unpoplar decision? I'm sure that when things are sawed and done, everything will turn out oakay. rimshot
May 13th (Late submission due to work schedule) Back in the saddle again After a rough shave with a Magic shavette the other day, I used it again with very good results- almost bbs and 1 little knick. Magic shavette Omega 40033 Cella Thayers Medicated Aqua Velva
I did. I took $100.00, bought all this and came home with change. It was a good morning. I'll post some better pics in the haul thread after I get them cleaned up.
That straight with the redish scales is purrrtttyyy. I can't wait to see how that finger razor thingie works for you.
Thank you Jared. At first I though it was new, and new stuff does show up in "antique" shops. On closer examination, the white paint is crazed - tiny cracks where it's still adhered, but shrinking and pulling away. It's not faded or scratched, though there is a slight bit of rust on the ring around the knot. I think it's a cup set in the handle. The knot is 24mm X 54mm loft. During cleaning there was very little animal smell. Lost three or four bristles between cleaning and the first lather. For $8, I think I got a 60 - 90 year old genuine fully functional NOS antique.
Holy smoke! I gotta go antiquing with you guys. Living near Palm Beach, antique stores here mean "uber expensive overpriced old stuff". I live near "Antique Row", which I am almost certain it has two types of proprietors: one is the wife of a billionaire who needs a hobby other than her charities, the other is a white-collar money launderer. Call me cynical, but there is no way that many stores on one street in a high rent area can generate that much money selling overpriced old stuff as to make a whole business district out of it.
May 15, 2017 Colonial Razors “The General” Feather Pro Shavemac D01 3 Band Mystic Water Raspberry Lemon Folsom & Co Shambala The little Shavemac whipped up the Raspberry Lemon into a nice slick lather easily. I am happy to be back to the General for the workweek with a smooth 3 pass near BBS shave this morning. I finished off with a splash of F&C Shambala. I hope everyone has a great Monday.
SOTD May 15, 2017 Blade: GEM Stainless Razor: GEM Pushbutton Brush: Jayaruh boar Lather: Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill aftershave WTG, touch-up Switching over to the Pushbutton for most of this week. I will throw in an injector shave or two in the mix as well. Today's shave went quite well. Stirling's Glacial Lemon Chill was fantastic. Cold but with great properties that you come to expect from Stirling. Very enjoyable. Have a great day!
