Thanks. Lately it seems like most of my razors started out as a Rusty Crusty Razor.

The shave was great. The Omega knot is really tweaked and I was a little disappointed in it's performance even though it made an excellent lather. It didn't want to open up the way I like a brush to on my face. I can still mess with it a bit and see if it improves but a knotectomy might be called for. Have a good one. (Sunday's shave) I'm going to rescale this razor in faux tortoise.

I saw the Pipe razor thread @DaltonGang started and it put mine to mind this morning.

I won this in a TSD raffle earlier this year and this was only my second shave with it. It was a very pleasurable shave, very easy to maneuver and excellent final result. However, what stood out was the similarity to the feel of my 1941 Russian. In fact feeling the edge with my thumb on each felt similar. They don't have that "sticky" quality and you wonder if they are sharp. They are. And they both have that butter knife smooth feel when using them, like they aren't even cutting. The Russian is both sharper and smoother but the Wosty is the only other razor I have that comes close to the same feeling. :happy036:

Tonight's shave was with an old Pipe Razor. It delivered a silently smooth 2 pass shave. I do like these old wedges. BBS results, without any issues. Excellent razor.

Razor- "George Wostenholm & Son, Sole Manufacturers of the , Original & True (Pipe symbol) Razor". True Wedge razor.

    15/16 Perfecto.
A dab of Cremo Cooling Cream on a brush is pretty hard to beat, if one is in a "non-traditional" mood.
The Lucky Tiger "Aspen" added a more traditional splash at the end!

Yes he does, I like the way Brian just slips them in the pictures and doesn't say anything about the new acquisition.
