    Tuesday's Shave

    Nivea Men Face Wash
    VDH Luxury Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #168
    Rockwell 6C
    Rockwell Swedish Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Aqua Velva Musk AS

The VDH Luxury Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #168 Synthetic brush. I did two passes the Rockwell 6C razor and Rockwell Swedish Stainless blade with the R3 plate, and I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I think the R3 plate may be my go to plate.
  12. Thank you Robbie!
  13. Razor: Gillette Milord
    Blade: Voskhod (2)
Brush: Amigos Desert Ironwood Beehive w/Sunrise Synthetic
    Soap: Reef Point Soap Admiralty
    Aftershave: F&C Capri

  14. The skincare from the Glacial Lemon Chill, in fact ALL the Stirling soaps is the best I've ever experienced. I've used other highly-mentholated soaps from other artisans and some of them are ok in the skincare aspect but nothing like what Stirling gives. The two closest are from TSD and Krampert's. I'd rate TSD at 8.5 and Krampert's at 8. Only Stirling deserves a full 10 - to me. I like the Polar Vortex soap from First Canadian. It's got a menthol feeling which is almost as strong as Frozen Tundra, but its skincare is around a 7.5 or so. The Yeti Snot is DAMNED cold but its skincare is almost nil. Same for the Cryogen - killer-cold, but almost no post-shave protection. Our Glacials freeze the face and give so much love.

  15. Monday, May 15
    Brush: Omega Synthetic Hi-Brush
    Soap: Proraso Green
    Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3)
Lotion: Omega Alum Stick / Mennen Skin Bracer / Nivea Post Shave Balm

Rotated to the Slim today and appreciated its easy adjustment during the shave.
  16. PREP - Hot Shower - L'Occitaine shower gel
PRE SHAVE - BBA Face wash & BBA Oil
    RAZOR - Filipe Grande
    BLADE - Astra SS #3
    BRUSH - Omega 49
    SOAP - NSS
POST- Cold rinse, Alum, Witch hazel, BBA Balm
    SCENT - L'Occitaine Cade EDT

I had an amazing shave Saturday (apologies for the late reply). I am loving the Filipe Grande razor.
It is the first open comb razor that I have used and am thrilled to bits with the results.
It is also the first time I have used a soap so to speak as I have been primarily using creams up to this point. I was totally blown away with NSS (Nanny's Shaving Soap's) amount of gorgeous lather this product provided me. As you all probably know the Omega 49 is a beast of a brush and only required literally 30 seconds of working.

Happy shaving and enjoy your week!

    Wayne :)
  17. So true! The Omega 49 is a terrific brush and the cheap price makes it even more attractive.
