  5. No a fence charger on the playground fence is much more entertaining
  6. This and certain other painsticks (((cough)))Feather(((cough))) belong to a certain class I like to refer to as Pukwudgie.

Pukwudgie may also refer to certain creatures who prey upon shavers in the month of May.

  7. Great picture, Doug! Looks like you found a way to keep from drowning your soap.
  8. :thanks: Jim.
  9. No, seriously it's all good. Think about it, who looks like the winner here?

Husband is traveling all week, working 12 to 15 hour days. Gets up early on Saturday and drives to the greenhouse. Spends time picking out, just for her, two trees that if nothing else, have meaning because he picked them. Then he goes home and not only plants them, but put one of them in the same spot as one was before, but got damaged in a storm. She had been trying to nurse it back, but she finally gave up and had my son cut it down last week. So Jared digs out the stump and puts a new tree there for her. The other one is a beautiful snowdrift crab, already almost ten feet tall in a spot in front of the kitchen window where she has been saying she wants a tree to block the view of the neighbors shed.

I think I have the winning hand on this one. It would be different if she had told me to plant something here and I did it there instead. This was unsolicited planting, therefore I am wonderfully thoughtful.

  10. Love that brush. I know I said it last night, but that is a beautiful piece of wood.

  13. Actually that one was as worthy as anything I've seen in a long time. Too bad I gave it to myself tonight.

    -Stirling Glacial Lemon Orange
    -Stirling Grapefruit (BOMBED) AS

I was hot, drenched, mosquito and tick bit when I got to the room tonight, so after a hot shower the Glacial soap was exactly what I needed. A splash of some very bombed Grapefruit, and I am ready for bed.

I love my little Duke. It is dense enough it feels like a bigger brush than it really is, but mostly it is a great little traveler, and gives me a taste of home when I'm on the road.

I nicked myself tonight. Not a weeper, but a real nick. Not a bad one, but I haven't done that in quite some time. I love shaving with the Feather, but it does not forgive poor technique.

I am very nearly BBS. See you guys tomorrow.

  17. Me too. The Whipped Dog knot has found its home there too, now and the whole setup just makes me happy. My Dad may be in his late 70's but he still has some mad wood skills!

  20. Tonight I went with a razor I haven't given much love to yet: my Gillette Old Type Frankenrazor. Whipped up my sample of Mystic Water Sandalwood Rose (fantastic scent if you are a rose fan) with the RazoRock Plissoft Big Bruce, and proceeded to have an amazingly smooth and close shave. Gillette 7 O'Clock Green blades have worked really well for me, and didn't disappoint here either. The Frankenrazor needs more spins in the near future.

Didn't someone here have a shave randomizer? The size of my den has reached the point where that would be useful in making sure I get to all my gear.
