Here's an observation on The Local Gent Shaving Company's invitation for product reviews. I couldn't figure out how to do the # of stars when I got the e-mail from them, but just now I "snuck in the back door" by going right to their website and doing the review there, where suddenly I saw how to do the star thingy. That allowed me to proceed with the rest of my review. I hit "Submit", and letme tell you, it showed right on the site, practically before I was finished doing the review itself!!
Not fun. My wife spent my five days in the hospital one time with a flare up. It's the worst I have ever seen her suffer. I will continue to pray for you.
All the best Clint. I had a real bad case of appendicitis about 5 years ago that required midnight surgery. Woke up with 17 staples and a foot less of intestines. I feel your pain. Hoping you remain healthy for a long time to come.
It's always fun to go back to my first straight razor and give it a spin. My recollection was that this was a horrible razor. It seems to have improved with age and gave me a wonderful shave today. I wonder if technique had anything to do with it Route 66 Perfect Storm Soap Wolf Whiskers Brush Faultless Razor Lucky Tiger Pinaud Lilac Vegetal After Shave Have a great day!
May 16 - Stirling Blu Merkur 34C / Rapira Swedish Stainless (day 2, pass: WTG, XTG) Rockwell 6C / Rockwell SS (Day 1 Pass: ATG, ATG) 23mm AOS Pure Badger DIY PSO Stirling 'Stirling Blu' soap Alum/Thayers/Nivea Sensitive PSB Stirling Blu is Stirling's take of Polo Blue. According to Fragrantica, Polo Blue contains: 'Top notes are melon, mandarin orange and cucumber; middle notes are basil, sage and geranium; base notes are musk, woodsy notes and suede.'. I have a hard time smelling these specifically but I do smell a nice scent that to me is reminiscent of South Padre or Weekend In Malibu and I love all three. This sample puck will also go on the must buy list. I had the richest and thickest lather I have had in a long while and it was very slick to boot. Stirling Blu has a nice not too sweet and warm fruit scent. I think I could equate it to melon and orange or how vanilla warms things up. These same warm notes I sense in Weekend In Malibu and South Padre. Each of these three are different though but if you like those warm notes in the summer scents, you will like Blu as well. Sorry I am not better at describing scents. The Rapira was louder today and was not cutting nicely. After a XTG pass, I decided to give it up. Just not sharp enough. The Rockwell was sharper but not by a lot. It was a new blade and got the job done for a DFS. Up next is a Gillette Stainless.
The pushbutton does not get enough love. Glad to see one in use. Late to the party. Hope that clears up quick, fast, and in a hurry!
You got it. I hope that this takes a turn for the better and not for the worse. It's not quite a pain in the butt, but it's very close to it . A lightbox is in my future. I have been looking at them online. Which do you have, or did you make your own? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
You are really killing it with color. You have a good sense of how to make it pop. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Jason, I find it so odd that you get a tugging sensation from the Chick blades. I'm really wondering if you got a bad cartridge.
