  1. I'm thinking if you used a trampoline, we could come up with a whole new category for that. something like "best use of a trampoline or other circus animal or apparatus in a shave".
  2. Welcome to the 30 day crew. You are off to a great start.
  3. I understand the feeling. In my case I can get my expectations so high that I feel underwhelmed when I use the item. Maybe put it aside and revisit the razor a little later.

    Blade: GEM Stainless
    Razor: GEM Pushbutton
    Brush: Surrey badger
    Lather: Stirling Sandpiper
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Sandpiper aftershave
    WTG, touch-up

Top-notch shave this morning. I really like the scent of Stirling Sandpiper and the lather is unbeatable when properly hydrated. Stirling products are first rate. The Pushbutton did a terrific job and all came together for a quite enjoyable shave. This was the third consecutive shave with the Pushbutton and all have been great.

    Have a great Wednesday!

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. Overall I am much better this morning. My pain level is not gone but it down to a level that I can tolerate. I will continue to take in lots of fluids and watch my diet for the rest of the week. I will go into the office but plan on taking it easy today.

Without the intense pain, I was actually able to enjoy the shave this morning. I enjoy the little Shavemac more using it several days in a row. This seems to remove some of the scritch and improve the feel of the brush. I absolutely love the MW Raspberry Lemon soap. The scent strength is strong with great performance and post shave feel. I went with a 3 pass shave this morning followed by minimal touch ups along my jawline and around my mouth ending in a near BBS. A splash of Capri and I think I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
  6. This has helped me with multiple razors. I had a couple I almost gave up on (injector included) that I came back to after a couple of months and something I had learned in the meantime helped me to click with them. My injector now sits among my favorites.

  7. Great photo and lineup Perry. I have a Feather Weight I plan on using this weekend. How does the Pushbutton compare to the FW?
  8. Thanks, Clint. The Pushbutton and Featherweight are very similar. I think the Pushbutton has a little more heft, especially in the handle, but overall they operate almost identically. I'll be using the Featherweight next week and can give some better comparisons then.
  9. I had a FW earlier that I enjoyed using but PIFed it to a member here. I ended up with a near mint FW as part of the package with the Damaskeene OC. I am actually looking forward to giving it a go. I anticipate using Gem razors a lot more in the future. I better since I ordered a 100 blades from Connaught Shaving. :D
  10. Beautiful picture, Clint! The setting is terrific.

    May 17 SOTD:

    Razorock Plissoft Brush
    Stirling Bay Rum SS
    Gillette Flair tip Rocket
    Stirling Unscented PSB
Ogallala Bay Rum with Lime and Peppercorns

My first use of this razor which I picked up a couple of months ago. I find that in general I prefer the British made razors to the American counterparts. The mechanisms seem to operate a bit more smoothly, and this one was no exception. It is an easy going shaver, and after two passes plus a little clean up, I am very near BBS. It was a great shave. I was in a Bay Rum mood, so I loaded up on it today. The Ogallala Bay Rum with Lime and Peppercorns is a great scent and has me ready for a great day. I hope everyone has a great day as well.

  14. It'll shave. Ignore the dent over the edge. Just ignore it as it's not really there.

  16. HA!!!! Redneck rigging is more like it.

It is. I actually shaved with a real one many moons ago. It was loaned to me. This is about the best I can do. It WILL shave though.
  17. Great setup and photo. Welcome to the 30 day crew.

  18. How does it attach to the battery, or does it plug into a wall outlet? :)
