To what do you attribute any improvements? Staying off the guard bar, avoiding scraping with the blade - riding the cap?
Do the math! Estimate the postal travel time from your location to Stirling's shop. When can you place the order to have your soap in hand for Day 31?
At less than a buck per ounce, I'll have another bottle of Pinaud's Finest in my den soon. There are other brands of lime AS in production, but they want a bunch of shiny pennies. I've been watching the Thrift/Antique store circuit for vintage Avon & Old Spice lime. Was it @LevelupShaves with the year old Nivea balm? I've had good success with dusty, well sealed, alcohol based aftershaves. I'm amazed what they ask for (and get) for Shulton Old Spice on the bay.
Oh yeah shout out to TSD I've adopted riding the cap and mostly cold water shaving loving it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That was not me. I stick to AS Splashes for the most part. Plus I use a daily face lotion with Sunscreen so an AS balm with lotion would be a bit redundant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-Feather DX -Duke 1 Best -Dapper Dragon ~ Green Dragon -Stirling Gin and Tonic I have really wanted to love Dapper Dragon soaps as they are from my home state, but the maybe four times I had used it prior, I have only had second tier lathers out of it because of over hydrating on my part. Well tonight I was extra careful adding water, and went more by feel than looking for gloss. Oh boy did I ever get a slick and stable lather from it. It is a soap I will try more of. Have a good night everyone.
Sounds like you are working that soap out. Woo You can send them to me. I will hold them....yea that's it hold them for you!!
MAYhem Continues!!! May 17 Razor - Kai Captain Blade - (?) Soap - Stirling Barbershop Brush - Jayaruh #46 Post - Alum And the razor of choice tonight? The Captain Kai. Pain stick time. The blade was already in it from the last time I used it and, if memory serves, it's the Captain blade from Kai as well. The blade felt more like the Kai than the Feather Pro so I assume I'm right. How many uses? Don't know. Don't remember. Mayhem enough for you? Soap was Stirling and the JR46 was the brush. Two full passes and I'm at a decent enough DFS. Not perfect but not bad at all either. One minor nick on my lower neck on the right side. Other than that, no problems. So, a TSR last night, pain stick tonight....what's tomorrow bring? Place your bets because MAYhem continues to provide the chaos it deserves!
Not at all. And you can't cheat us, you only cheat yourself.... Don't sentence yourself to a never ending rotation of mediocre shaves. Isolate for a month, master it, and you'll be able to play with soaps and blades and know if they are better than what you learned upon.
