  2. Your assessment of the original Latha is spot on. I continue to use it because it is such a good soap, but I am not a huge fan of the scent. These new scents have me curious, though.
  3. Fantastic picture, Mark!
  4. I could only imagine the conversations around that water cooler.
  5. Thank you, Andrew!
  6. I am the say way. Luckily the filters really help hide some flaws!
  7. Might I humbly suggest and 8th option on the shave combo, just for the sake of MAYhem? A Russian DE with a Chinese blade sounds like a true MAYhem shave.
  8. You might look into stropping. As polished as a new blade looks, there are imperfections at a microscopic level.

So glad you got that figured out! When I was first starting out SRAD & D.E.AD let me pass up a number of injectors. It wasn't until @Bama Samurai PIFed a Schick J-1 my way that I understood. May you have many more pleasurable beard reductions!
  9. :D
  10. Stropping a DE blade?
  11. It's a hazardous process, but can be done. Might take that First Use harshness off the edge. Got a leather belt? Carefully hold the blade, draw it across the leather not so it might cut, but to knock off and smooth out imperfections. Or you can palm strop.

  12. You can also use a strop, belt, or a piece of denim to strop a DE blade. Remember that there are four edges that all have to be stropped. I found it does smooth out some of the harshness.

  13. Good luck in the interview!
  14. Hope the interview goes well!
  15. I might try to strop the next blade since I already stropped this one with my face.

Thanks, it went pretty well I think.
  16. Thank you, I think it did.
  17. I read your post and was like "4 edges?! But it only has 2 edges on each...oooooooh." Me not think good some of times. Haha

I had tucked this long handled M-3 English made Gillette in my Rack-O-Razors and forgotten about it. Gave it a quick Dawn scrub, and loaded a new bit of Russian steel. Couple of unbloomed swirls with the moist German brush on the German soap & into the Japanese dish for lather creation. Soaped up my American face and took three passes plus a bit of buffing and clean-up. Nice error free reduction for a first time use of this blade holder. Ride the Cap! Alum was cool, and the French inspired AS surrendered quietly. Seems since decanting the Limey scent is coming to the Front!
    Good Shaves Y'all!
