I'm sitting in the San Diego airport and am realizing just how much I've grown to dislike airports. Can't wait to get home✈️
Looooong day yesterday led to a late night and a 1am shave so I didn't have to shave at 5am when I woke up. What do we shave with when we are tired, sleepy and ready for bed? Painsticks! CJB Kamisori (@Keithmax special) Tabac Maggard Plissoft Brush Thayers Rose Witch Hazel Stirling SDM AS 99% of this shave was 100% epic. The lather was perfectly dialed in. The brush was on it's catch and release game. The razor felt right in my hand. Two quick and uneventful passes and I was ready to declare a FFS (freaking fantastic shave). Then I felt just a tiny bit of stubble on a trouble spot on the side of my neck. Just the faintest hint. Nothing to see, nothing to worry about, but tiredness and over-confidence clouded my judgement. Given the fantastic-ness of the rest of the shave, I decided to go for. I reached across the face instead of changing hands. I knew immediately I shouldn't have. I could feel it coming, but my reflexes weren't sharp enough to hold me back. I landed hard, and immediately felt it. It wasn't deep, and really wasn't a long cut, but I nicked myself and ended up with a bleeder that required 5 minutes with a styptic pencil instead of 5 extra minutes of sleep. The rest of the shave was still fan-freaking-tastic, though. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Congrats on getting a smooth sharp edge. I think that has to be a key milestone in enjoying straights. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
At least 99% of the shave was fantastic. Just think how well you'll do when you aren't so tired. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No, there's no boring-just wanted to try to get us back to the right thread before a " BG's Falsetto/Disco one commenced.
